Thank you for this video and your assistance. I just purchased the E-A7 a few weeks ago, and have been getting deep into this arranger. The user interface is wonderful and easy to use, my only disappointment is the effects are very amateur and will be difficult to work around in the styles. My work-around to the effects will be to use MIDI and another keyboard (Korg Krome) for drums percussion and anything else without much effects and then run a high quality effect from the output of the E-A7, mostly for the live play instruments. Finally, an arranger that is fast to create styles and edit tones, and can accept any scale (full scale) I use in the style creator and phrase pads. This is going to make composition a joy again. I am a sound designer/recording engineer/musician/effects designer have been playing keyboards and guitars for 55 years now, and decided 10 years ago on a live play, one take, type of recording (same as Vangelis). So, all my instruments are recorded without overdubbing and the song is complete when the one take performance is over. I use arrangers in my style of recording my compositions, the arranger is about 25% of the total composition, and use step and other pattern sequencers, as well as a sampler I play samples and clips into....all to back up my live play of other instruments. I have a floor full of foot pedals to control the synths and digital piano for live expression and control. I have a 32 channel sub mixer that inputs to my 8 channels of hardware recorder (Zoom R24) and record with all instruments set for levels/panning/effects/EQ to record wet to the 8 tracks. Mixdown and then master to stereo final song. The E-A7 will be replacing my Casio MZ-X500 a major disappointment where there isn't enough memory for a complex style creation and all the sounds of the Casio are horrible equal to the Casio cheap toy keyboards, plus the phrase pads are useless without volume control, and everything is done through the touch screen and ONE knob, awful interface compared to the Roland. The Roland E-A7 is my 6th arranger now as I searched for over 15 years for a serious pro arranger that would simply do what the manufacturer claimed it would. The last song I posted on this channel, "The Deep", was made with this Casio, and even drowning the sound in effects did not help much. The E-A7 should be a good replacement. Thank you for the Video and the great efforts. I think the Style that you included will not work properly on other arrangers from the same model , because of the missing Custom Drumkit. You should provide also the custom Drumkit beside the style . Thank you very much.

This procedure looks both cumbersome and time consuming - can't this be done with some simpler midi file imports on this keyboard?

Thank you so much for this valuable video. I am a composer and never use pre-set styles, getting a tutorial on a style creator is a rare item on YT! A few questions, if I may, on this Roland E-A7: 1) You are editing the instruments for the style, are the instrument edits saved only for the style, or for both a user instrument and the style? 2) Can user instruments be used in the EA7 style creator? I have a Medeli AKX10 that will not allow any edited instrument in a style, they must only be a preset. 3) What is the style length limit in measures of the EA7? 4) I noticed there is a mode for chords such as Em or EM7 on the EA7, can you write your style in any key signature and include melodies with any note on the scale? And then it will transpose properly when playing different chords in style play? Thank you so much!!!

Hello. I own BK9. Do You know if this tutorial applies aloso on BK9m ? I don't find many material for BK9;

I have a question about creating the Bass , and the Acchords. When you want to create a Major Acchord, do you have to play any Major acchord or this does not matter? The same question for Minor and the 7th too.

Thanks, but it would be much more instructive if you explain the working logic of the device. Since you have mastered the subject, you pass some parts very quickly, albeit unintentionally. Most of the people watching the video (including me) don't know anything. This is far from instructive. It's like a show. Thanks anyway.
