This video different from my others. About specific technical issue. I’ll show the details on how Nerdseq can be made more of an instrument by adding physical inputs, and doing so via I2C.
What is Nerdseq (xor-electronic...) , you ask? A tracker, aka sequencer, for controlling a modular synth. Sort of a “composing instrument” for modular synths, where one can compose sounds but also play it like an instrument, if you have the right tools.
I saw an eye opening RU-vid video ( • NerdSEQ Firmware V1.28... ) where creator of Nerdseq demoed how one can use a faderbank to control almost anything within the Nerdseq, like Euclidean drumbeats and sound envelopes. I mean, everything! Very, very cool. Perfect for music makers.
But the Nerdseq is known as the “most powerful” tracker/sequencer, not the “easiest to use”. With that power comes complications. It can be really difficult to use.
I spent the time figuring out the details of how to hookup a faderbank,,and this video is about making it easy for the one or two other people in this world who want to achieve same functionality but not any of their waste time. Plus I don’t want musicians to get hung up on frustrating technical details, and instead spend their time creating cool music with the incredibly powerful Nerdseq.
