Step one should be don't use the crappy rental skates as those things are duller then a banana. Having properly fitting boots and sharpened skates makes a massive difference in how easily it is to skate.
I went ice skating for the first time in like 15 years, I picked it back up easy and just practiced this instead for the entirety of the time I was there. I wasn’t this smooth but I’m getting there now.
At least on roller skates, the bit of advice I got that TOTALLY changed the game for me: Keeping your chest and head straight. Don’t look down, you warp your posture and will face plant. Long as your chest remains straight, makes it easier.
@@PokerSeven I’ve ice skated TWICE 🥶 I ride quads, but I do also want to devote more time to learning blades. Currently I ride speed skates and do a lot of shuffle & rhythm, but probably getting a true rhythm setup next week or so
einfach rueckwärts fahren und dabei den äusseren fuss vor dem inneren kreuzen, beide auf dem eis. bevor du auf die schnute fliegst, nimmst du den inneren/hinteren vom eis und setzt ihn wieder links vom äusseren
how does what he's teaching you apply to the back ward crossovers that he's doing at the beginning....furthermore you can't learn that in a minute.....try one year at least
