I came across a tutorial of yours on Pinterest. I absolutely love your calm, no stress teaching. I've been a quilter for a while now, so I know a fair amount on my own, but I love to watch tutorials anyway. They make me happy and inspired that quilts don't have to be complicated to be beautiful. Stress free and fun is what I like. SOOO Subscribing.
Yay! Welcome to my channel! You've hit the nail on the head (so to speak) when it comes to how I wanted to present my tutorials - calming and stress free! Patchwork and quilting should definitely be about having fun, being creative and making something unique that you'll cherish for years to come! :)
Aunt Amanda Sews Yay!! That's fantastic!! Congratulations on making your first ever quilt block and on taking the first steps to making your very first quilt! #woot :D
Awesome tutorial. I'm a visual learner so it's great to see this video! What size should I cut my squares? I recently purchased some Kona fabrics that I wanted to make this quilt with. Can't wait to use them!
chinewmarie Hello and thank you! I'm so happy you enjoyed watching! For this particular block, cut all of your squares at 5inches (5"). You can definitely cut them bigger or smaller if you wish. Just remember, the bigger you cut your squares the bigger block size you'll end up with. The smaller you cut them, the smaller the block will be. I love Kona fabrics! I think this is the perfect block to use them with! Have fun!!
