"Muscular evil god man" is one of the funnier ways I've heard Duma described. FEH main story is based on Norse mythology and it gets pretty weird

@@adamkampen yeah duma, that's what he's called. I actually played the 3ds game but still could not remember his name Hell, he's technically not even in shadow of valentia, duma is the evil dragon monster final boss, not a green hair muscular man like in heroes

What you said is like saying "why would i use rooks and bishops when i have a queen" because there are a lot of different units that do different things. You have several different weapon types of different colors to factor in the weapon triangle. You have main attacking units, you have defensive units you have support units that never see battle and just provide bonuses to your other units from the backline. "Four good units" would not get you through the game. You would need a rotating set of units to deal with different types of enemies. That variety is what FE is built off of except for 3H where you can steamroll the game with a squad of Wyvern Lords. You have a flying enemy, use an archer. If they're immune to bows they likely have low res so use a mage. If you put a red unit against a blue they lose 20% damage against them so use a different color. Get a dancer who also buffs you while dancing. That kinda thing Not only that but new units provide new skills that you can inherit on other units. The game has been put for almost 8 years, 4 units will never be enough.

@@xacmashe3852 gee I don't know man, my duma was literally unbeatable, the only times he got killed was when doing the highest level challenges intended for higher level units than what I had or pvp with someone much higher level than me so no matter what I did I was losing anyway because they had better stats (because they had been playing the game for longer, they had grinded and upgraded their units to be better than me over a longer amount of time), not because of a better strategy

uhhhh my best unit is probably my Brave Alm, my Fallen Lilith, or my regular Mirabilis, they are all really good units, my favorite tho are my New Years Anna, Effie, or Valentines Effie

I mean, every fire emblem game has multiple tutorials; one for the gameplay, and one separate for every other gimmick. Yes every game past the 3ds has at least 2 gimmicks.

Strategy Games always have multiple "tutorials" for their different mechanics. Because putting them all into a singular first map would just fucking suck.

@@quentc I want to say probably no one, but this game is so divisive in the fandom between people pointing out its issues and others saying it's not a big deal that it's difficult to tell.

I mean if I were a fan of a series getting a game like this would make my blood boil idk what's to tolerate

@@quentc I've actually forgotten this was supposed to be an anniversary game to "celebrate" the history of the series multiple times until someone brought it up, because for an anniversary specifically, they really went out of their way to make several aspects of this game as NOT Fire Emblem as possible, from hiring an artist that literally designs vtubers for a living, and getting a director that has only been part of developing action RPGs and NEVER WORKED ON THE SERIES BEFORE. 3 Houses as much as people complain about it was actively trying to build off of the 3DS titles, while Engage seemed to do a 180 and throw a bunch of that in the trash. The cherry on top of it all is for some ungodly reason they decided to get Treehouse to localize this game, the same group of SJWs that censored Fates to hell and back, some of which even have Twitter profiles that show off their disgusting political takes. Though we should probably count our blessings considering that unlike Fates, they didn't alter in-game content or stop DLC from releasing overseas, and you still have the option to switch voices and dialogue to Japanese.
