Thanks so much for all the amazing comments on this tutorial! A lot of people have been asking about the sound design at 04:45. So here are some FAQ: Q: Where do you get your sound effects? A: I use a sound effects library called Soundly. It's a freemium library with a super efficient way of adding sounds. For this I used the Pro version, which significantly increases the size of the library. Q: Where do you do the sound design? A: Davinci Resolve 17! Q: Can you do a sound design tutorial? A: I already did! The entire workflow using Soundly with Davinci Resolve 17 is covered in this tutorial: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-jjBNjvNIlQ4.html Thanks for watching!
I live in south korea, and i generally don't leave a comment in non-kr vid. cuz i don't know grammar of english at all.. but despite that fact, i want to say this. your channel is underrated as hell. every video i watch in your channel, every single one of them have so much useful tips and information for the noobs like me. and quality of your work is so fascinating, make me feel practicing blender is worth of my time. sorry for using broken english but i was wanted to say this comment.
I've used blender for almost 3 years now, when you keyframed the speed of the simulation my mind was blown, I never really knew you could do that. Keep up the great work man!
You can actually animate most properties in Blender, lol. Every property that has a dot right next to it is animatable, and you click that dot to add keyframes.
At 7:10 when music start coming up in a smooth fade in an adrenaline rush in mind for the rendered animation scene. You are a true film maker who even add that touch in tutorial editing too!
This is literally the first time I've seen someone use Blender.. your explanations and keyboard/mouse indicator is amazing, the lesson was very easy to follow and kind of felt like I was sin the Matrix for a second... "I can do Blender" lol You're an excellent teacher.
God I love when you can see people are really passionate about something they're doing. I've never taken a physics class in my life, nor do I play around with programming like this. But I suddenly have the urge to binge all your videos on the subject
I agree! this really helped me as I've wanted to learn ridged body objects for a while but all the tutorails are really confusing, this one was easy for me to understand! much appreciated.
I think my favorite thing about your tutorials is the documentary vibe they have. Great editing and scripting skills, plus the sound design is so on point.
I always wanted to learn blender but those other tutorials were always missing something. Your passion in animaton motivated me to learn blender and I rendered my first animation today!
You know what man, what I really love about your tutorials compared to others is that you go through a complicated scenario with all the tips and tricks while keeping it simple. I've combined your techniques before and had fun with them. It's cool to see you are inviting us to do that so I don't have to feel bad! lol. Keep it up my man!
this channel is 10/10, easy to follow, chill, informative, no bullshit, feels like you're having fun & i have fun following along rather than feeling like i'm in school or something like with most other channels, you just throw the info out there for us & give us the walkthrough of the process & it feels really nice with the rendered out cutscenes you make, awesome channel, feels high effort & all of the videos are very indepth & cool & you have your own style it's been a lot of fun watching the videos & learning something new every now and then & just relaxing watching them even if i'm not learning, 10000/10 love it, hope you keep this up, out of all the blender tutorial channels i've watched you're probably in the top 3 or top 2 imo
8:57 dude! This little moment right here is exactly what it was like for me when I discovered I could automate the BPM of my tracks in music production. Really enabled some seriously experimental stuff
@@lucmermans37 My good dear sir, this is the music industry, literally anything ever is commercial and no matter what you make, someone out there fucking loves that shit. Best advice for me (assuming you're less experienced than me, probably wrong tho but i do want to say this anyways) is to say fuck commercial, fuck rules, fuck everything. Make what you make naturally, whatever you yourself enjoy producing the most. If you pursue music its not because of the money, it's because it's your passion, so make sure you enjoy every step of it ;) not that its wrong for you to focus on the commercial aspect tho, it's only advice and not meant to be orders so honestly you can do whatever you want O:)
These... These kinds of stuff just make me want to learn and experiment even more! Honestly, thank you for making vids like yours. (those renders as well, they're way too simple yet they absolutely look amazing) It's just soo motivating for me.
this became my favorite format of tutorials on RU-vid ! it's so entertaining and so beneficial at the same time . And what makes it absolutely the best is the last section when you take things to the next level after we learn the basics ! Thank you !
This is so cool. I'd never even considered trying this because I had no idea blender's simulations were so intuitive. I had no clue it had real-time simulations for the physics!
Woah, how did I not know about the alt+click trick to apply the change to all? This is gonna make things so much easier than copying the attributes every time!
Dude. You have the most inspiring channel. I love every single one of your vids. You do an excellent job of illustrating something at a base level and then running out what you could do with it with your level of expertise. I get the sense that I may never get to your level, but you make me want to try anyway. And that is a huge deal. Thanks for the great content.
0:30 Just a tip brother, on how to get rid of the banding. Make an adjustment layer with just 2% noise on top of the gradient(in 16bit workspace). Srsly, works like a charm (y)
There are hundreds of blender tutorials on youtube, but NONE have the cinematic aesthetic that you give your tutorials. The music the editing, its absolutely amazing, since it hypes me up and motivates me to keep going. Absolutely breathtaking quality!
How you do sound engineering for your renders, like it has seamless transitions and the quality in it. What's your workflow and sources ? U r works are jaw-drooping every time i re-watch it !!!
@@lime7014Cool, Thanks for taking time and noticing me . I've seen it , but I cldn't get resources as suitable most of time .. but @polyjford does get some epic suitable sounds tho
I really like how your tutorials are beginner friendly, but also pack so much information that a somewhat experienced Blenderer like me still can learn something from it. Your tutorials are very inspiring, keep that up. I'm looking forward to see many more in the future! Also, I can't agree with you more on what you said about rigid body, I love it too.
well, I'm in a different field as a web developer, and now after seeing your videos I just downloaded the blender software and i start following your tutorials, I have no idea where I'm going with this, but so far I'm enjoying watching your tutorials
Love that you explain common problems before you fix them instead of just going through the tutorial and fixing them without any thought. Really helps.
i have been using blender for about a year now. ive watched tons of tutorials on youtube. YOURS ARE THE BEST! very in depth and easy to follow, plus the renders are completely procedural without hassle. your amazing and i cant wait to see more!
I know nothing about blender, never used. Watched this whole video and about to watch more. This was such a good tutorial I felt like I, a complete novice could understand
I cant say how important your chanel in my Blender learning! before im not super clear in other class, your teaching is so inspration me! Thank you very much. Look forward!
Bro ur actually just one of the most underrated blender and vrx RU-vidrs. I swear I have only seen two of ur videos and I am hooked. You have helped me learn so much and in such a short amount of time. I actually hope that people will eventuality realize that your content is just sooo helpful. Thank you!!
I got addicted to physics simulations in 3ds max years ago, I loved mixing motion capture data with zero gravity ropes, and real flow for liquid simulations, it always felt like magic. Blender looks like it has a much better system than the old one in max, and it's great that it all seems in the program instead of having to mix various plugins. I tried a bit with particle systems with complex behaviours to make lots of fish and things like that but loved the idea of creating a whole ecosystem of animals/insects /robots/whatever and running a giant calculation to see how everything unfolds. Like the Lord of the rings software. I guess you're basically just making a computer game at that point. But the unknown outcome and some beautiful rendering could make a great vr experience for people to relax inside watching all the madness unfold around them.
This is what I always try to keep in mind while working in Blender. Have fun. The last thing I want to do is ruin my view of Blender by forcing myself to do something I don't want to do (there are some exceptions of course). You are a great tutorial maker.
youve literally blown my mind. cant wait to get better at these sims, your examples were absolutely so freaking cool that it reinspired my drive for learning all of this, it can become overwhelming at times
I- your tutorials are amazing man. Seriously high quality, interesting topic, and you actually show everything unlike some where they just skip things assuming you know how to do it. Blender Guru has competition
I love the addition of the cube grabbing ahold of the hand's metal rod to hitch a ride. The thumbs up coming out of he sphere opening cracked me up as well. XD
YOU ARE THE BEST RU-vid TEACHER IVE EVER SEEN. Im just 17 year old now but as soon as i turn 18 which will be this month, ill definitely get your patreon, You are giving me so much information and the stuff you make is absolutely amazing, I love it. When i started out Graphic designing my thinking was just how you think, trying different things, experimenting with something i liked for hours, just because i like it and so many more things haha, thats also part of the reason why i like you and your videos so much!! Its like Im seeing myself in the future haha. Ive started 3d recently and created some projects which are decent visually, but not much detail.Im gonna go into the next level because of you. Thanks alot!
