What does the caligraphy message say - is it Arabic? What kind of wood is it? Clearly quite soft. I have only done one carving, but it was in oak, and oak is really hard. I tried carving it the way you did there, but it needed a hammer and chisle, but even that wasn't enough, so I made a drawing of what I wanted, then from the drawing, I made a Fimo model of it, then I made a copy-carver to copy the Fimo onto the wood, and roughed it that way - then it was lots of hammer and chisle to clean it up. ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-cSjqfU062uU.html
@@DownhillAllTheWay This is a part of the poem of the persian poet Rumi. I used white walnut.🪵 I suggest you try with walnut wood, walnut wood is one of the best woods for carving.
