One of the greatest live acts I've ever seen! I've never been to a show where literally every single person was grooving at max vibe. Not even EDCLV compared to seeing Tuxedo, that's how unbelievably good they were.
I see a lot of people are confused in the comments, so let me clear things up: "We always wondered what the original sample was for Snoop's 'Ain't No Fun (If the Homies Can't Have None)'. Since we couldn't figure it out, we decided we would make it.” - Tuxedo - Personally, I think this is a cool tribute/remix. I'm usually not a fan of classic tracks getting messed with, but Jake & Mayer kept it fun & funky and put their own spin on it!
***** You are right bro... for me, this is awesome. And is almost inescapable do not think quickly in Snoop's song.. As I say this is awesome and cool enough for me. Good vibes¡¡
Rick James!?? Pfffffhh...... Rick James was cool but he didnt have the funk.!.. He was no clone...!!.. PFUNK BABY..JAMES BROWN..ETC .. ALWAYS ON THE ONE . do your homework man..
Este som típico dos anos 80 é SENSACIONAL! Faço parte da geração que ouvia Rick James, Kurtis Blow, Zapp, Cameo... This song, sounding like an 80's hit, is FANTASTIC! When I was young I listened to songs by Rick James, Kurtis Blow, Zapp, Cameo...
I bought the album since it came available. Long time i heard a fuc**** good funky music like this. This album is fantastic!! Great job, and keep the funk alive!!!
Whoever disliked this song ain't down with the Phunk! A 110 % certified type of jam to get me out my seat. Sings "She's number ooooone, second to no-ooo-ooo-one"
That dropped something this year but it don’t have that “FONK” not funk but “FONK” it’s more like a house music vibe but it’s still pretty dope if your into house music
I never heard of Tuxedo until I kept hearing this track a couple years ago at Cheesecake Factory and I finally had to Shazam it. "Number One" heavily echoes Nate Doog "Aint no fun" albeit cleaner; anybody who owned or heard the entire album "Doggy Style over and over would recognize it. "Ain't no fun" most heavily samples "A few more kisses to go" by Isaac Hayes and takes a line from the hook of "Blue Suede Shoes" by Carl Perkins.
Yes, a clean version I can play at work. So dang funky. And to those that said they ripped off Snoop, I gotta ask, how many songs has Snoop sampled off of old school funk/oldies? Yeah both of your hands isn't enough to show, I know.
