I love the way you show us how to do the tuxedos 🥰🥰🥰🥰 I’ll need to try that 👩🏻🍳 How long do you leave the strawberries to dry before dipping in chocolate?
Great tutorial, thank you! I always wonder how quick those strawberries deteriorate since they are pinched and also had contact to the hot chocolate. Do you have to make them directly before you serve them?
You're so welcome, thanks for your comment! They don't have to be made directly before you serve them, but I would say they are definitely best made the day of! :)
If you're using compound chocolate no need for tempering, just melt it carefully; if you're using couverture chocolate then yes you will need to temper it! : ) Here is a video that may help: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-g1G9u7HmVTc.htmlsi=-CiiWqvpZuD4Skof
It depends on how long until you serve them...I would recommend making them the same day and then leaving them at room temperature until serving. When you refrigerate them the strawberries can start getting juicy when they warm back up from the temperature change and leak : )
This probably isn't super helpful because there is no brand name and I ordered from a pastry shop in Australia...but here is the link: savourschool.com.au/product/20018/
Every time I lay my berries down the back isn’t fully covered with chocolate and I find it looks tacky. I turn mines upside down on a skewer & foam board but rather use this method I don’t know why the back is always bare
Hmm I’m not sure exactly what you mean by back. I always pick an up and down and the down side you scrape a little bit so chocolate doesn’t pool and that’s the side that sits on the parchment, nobody sees it until the take a bite 🤔
@@BrittneeKay yes, no one sees it initially but I’m wondering if it’s for sale would a customer feel like it’s not a professional job if some of the berry is exposed after it’s wiped and placed on the parchment paper.
I don't think so...not from the underneath, to me it makes sense and is totally understandable. it is hand dipped and has to be set down somewhere!@@thekylahbreshow
