There are lots that come to mind... Van Halen's Right Now for Crystal Pepsi (I know it's 91)... Alice Cooper in Staples (but School's Out is 70s...)... There was a Judas Priest one in the past 6 months on TV also with You Got Another Thing Comin... Imma try and think of more! There was the Norton AV with Dokken... but no music in the commercial...
Yes I think I saw all of those when researching for the show. Judas Priest did some funny advertisements for their album turbo. You can see those on youtube.

It didn't have any famous music in it, but in the '80s it was my favorite "metal" commercial. It was "Opening a Pepsi, New Generation-Style," where a guitarist blazed an Eddie Van Halen-type guitar solo next to the Pepsi until it started bubbling & boiling & eventually blew the cap off the bottle & soda shot out like a geyser. Ha-ha.⛲
I remember that Coca Cola advert. not so much the Starbucks one. But its very funny. Using the band RATT instead of actual rats in a commercial is a good idea. I'm saying that because I did a similar thing in one of my videos but in reverse!.
Budweiser used Rainbow in the Dark by Ronnie James Dio... This Bud's For You! For All You Do! This Bud's For You! I also Remember Paul Stanley from Kiss doing a Folgers Commercial. Dee Snider and Twisted Sister doing a Stanley Steamer Commercial.
@@rockandmetalinvasion it's an anthology movie so the quality of stories varies. The Humagoo story is the best. And UB40 do the soundtrack. Not a fan of them normally but they do a great ambient dub reggae soundtrack here.
Robin Beck was number 1 in the UK, Lucazade used Phantom of the opera by Iron Maiden for a number of years with Daley Thompson, love the Limara advert, pretty sure Stevie was only 2 albums under the name of Night, brought both and was disappointing that the song was not on them, but picked up the single in a charity shop, great video
I VIVIDLY remember that Limara ad! I LOVED it, probably before I liked hard rock tbh. When did you say it was? Early 80s? There was another similar Limara ad too if I remember correctly. I bloody LOVE Robin Beck's "First Time" and again remember the ad. Oh no, glad I didn't see the Survivor ad, that's awful. Cos I really love that song! Glad that TS ad was American, it never aired here thankfully! Cos I really love that song too! LMFAO at the 'Rock You Like A Hurricane' ad, love the song, the ad is hilariously cringe! PMSL! The Quiet Riot ad is bloody brilliant, again, never saw that before either! There is no TV ad that cannot be improved by the inclusion of The Final Countdown tbh. Ratt is just corny. Funny, but corny! Unfamiliar with that Stan Bush track.
