Al Feuerbach became my inspiration for Olympic lifting and shotput after reading about him in the Oct 1973 issue of Strength and Health (where Al was on the cover.) Decades later I introduced my grandson to shotput (and that article on Al). He went on to be a top shot and discus thrower thoughout high school and attended college on a throwing scholarship, albeit using spin technique that was beautiful to watch in both shot and discus. Thanks Al for all the inspiration.
