One of the few advantages of social media is that more and more people are becoming aware of these tactics by the BBC. They see that they are not alone. And fewer and fewer people are now being scared in to paying for a licence they dont want.
april first i will be calling police on hate crime hotline my letter is causing me alarm and distress and invoking fear , prohibited as i am a protected having special characteristics - i get alarmed very quickly
I love the fact that my friend was told if she watches youtube she needs a TV licence. Not sure RU-vid know that the BBC licencing goons are using them to illegally scare people into getting a licence.
No t.v. for 24 years. All I get is every three years asking if my circumstances have changed to remind me I need a licence if I now have a t.v. One card in my letterbox several years ago to say they had called but I was out. No hassle for me.
I have been licenced free for about a year and a 1/2 now. Learning all what I need to know of Chile, John the RU-vidr . I have had 10 letters and 3 Knox on my door. I answer the door to find out if it is. And as soon as he /she shows me their. I D I just close the door shown in my teeth. I say nothing to them. I got a letter saying they were coming out to . See me. They won't get no money out of me LOL.
I don't why people would be intimidated. I'm certainly not. A. Don't get caught watching live tv B. No problem. They have as much authority as the Avon Lady.
I got that one two weeks ago claiming somebody would be visiting on 29th march..... Friday bank holiday...... I waited in all day and nobody came.... Bunch of tossers.....
Then I hope they _do_ turn up on my doorstep one day - and try to intimidate me. It will all be on camera. Although I'm pushing 80 now, and look like your stereotypical cosy little old lady, I'm sharp, nasty, sceptical, sarcastic and stubborn when I choose to be. I am rarely frightened on my own behalf but will still jump to the protection (usually verbal only, nowadays) of those who are being frightened by others. Legally licence free for over 40 years now, last time I watched a TV of my own was Charles & Diana's wedding!
@@Sine-gl9ly If you ignore their threat letters and don't answer the door when they come round they eventually give up as it's not cost effective to keep chasing a non responder.

Just bin it with all the other rubbish Royal Mail deliver. I've always wanted a visit from capita but I guess the remote location and gated drive with animals inside puts them off!!
I was meant to be getting a visit on Friday. Was in all day long and guess what??? No visit. Even if they had arrived the door would have been opened and they would be asked who they represent --- followed up with a "no thank you" and the door politely shut in their faces.
The problem is that the rules assume you're a law breaker. Why do I have to confirm every so often (every year or every few years) that I STILL don't have a TV license? If I confirmed once that I don't need a license, I'm not gonna keep confirming for the rest of my life, piss off. How about if someone answers "no" to one of these letters or phone calls, send them a special form they can fill out and send, or give them a phone number they can ring, so that if circumstances change, and they start watching live TV, THEY can notify you instead. it should be opt in, not opt out.
Since I cancelled my TV licence in 2019 I've lost count how many letters I've been getting from these goones I know I've had 3 ore 4 red letters and 1 visit I don't fear these people there are beginning to get boring and all talk one thing I like about all of this is they are lossing money each day they send letters and because more and more people cancelling their TV licence the may not have enough people to visit there homes 😂😂😂😂
I’ve had hundreds and I have tried to talk to the person whose name is on the letters without success. So if they can’t speak to me, they can **** off.
In this day and age why is it that the BBC has to fund this way? All other media outlets rely on advertising, even the likes of social media and RU-vid.
And we have to pay them to watch other channels.I don't get it 🙄 stopped paying told them I don't need tvlicence anymore! Letters come every month just bin them and keep the door shut! Job done 😂
Yeah they come in batches . I don't even bother opening them. They never turn up on the day they threaten too anyway, which is a shame - cos im itching to slam the door in their face, for getting on my wick. Last visit was about a year ago - and i could hear him swearing when he saw my camera lol.
I've had the same letter, unfortunately they put an 'A' after my house number which happens to be the annex next door, I know they have a licence so this is going to be interesting
I don’t have a fishing license because I don’t fish. Likewise I don’t have a TV license because I don’t have a TV. Difference is I don’t have to keep telling the river/ sea authorities I don’t need a license.
They visit 5000 a day ??!! Plenty of people, it seems, out there not paying the t.v. tax ( the new arrivals to our country certainly won't be). I've been license free for a year-and-a-half now. Probably never going back to paying.
I will be in, as I am every day, but won't be answering the door to any goons that knock as I used the video doorbell if anyone knocks, even if they don't use the doorbell, to see who it is and won't answer the door if I'm not expecting a delivery or someone visiting.
Explaine the dutys of an `Enforcement` officer.....have they read what `Inforcement` means....they use that because it sounds scary.....by rights you can take it to a solicitor......they will tell you it means they are trying to make you do sometthing you dont want to do.....that is a criminal offense and they are not above the law.....
Strange visit this morning 26th June, Letter stated 27th June if I was in, Anyway, knock at the door ask me if I lived there I said yes, said he was from TV licence and did I have a licence I replied not interested and said I don't watch live TV, he replied well that's all you had to say , then asked do I watch TV and again told him not live TV, he said ok, here is my ID, do you mind if I come in and check it will only take two minutes, I replied no, he again said its only two minutes, again I said no. He said ok and left. Don't think there is anything in that for a search warrant. But be careful, they are sneaky bastards...
A goon called at my door and said "do you know who i am ?" i said "why ? don't you know who you are ? better ask your mother, He said "let me have your name" i said "what will i use then ?" then he turned around and walked away. i had him on camera the whole time he was there.
I’m charging them £20 per hour for waiting in , say 9 to 5 = 8 hours x 20 =£160 , yep, that should cover it. I’ve had three so that’s £480 , cash is excepted 😝😝☝️

NO! it ALL goes to the Government who then decide how much to give the BBC, the remainder goes into the government coffers. Now you know why they won't scrap the TV License.
I dont know why you (or anyone else) even bothers opening the letter. As you rightly point out, its not even addressed to you or any family / friends living with you. Why n0ot take the easy and minimal stress option of just putting it in the recycling bin with the rest of the junk mail / unaddressed mail.

Im 2 years plus into cancelling mine ,got me a refund aswell at the time but as it stands today i haven't even had a threatenibg letter ,im quite disappointed if im honest 😂😂😂
to call themselves ‘enforcement officers’ implies you have to have a licence. as I’m sure all this video’s viewers know, you don’t. I just don’t get how they get away with the wording, it’s harassment.
I have Sky etc all the usual stuff on my tv….so if I stop paying my license am I in trouble….all the stuff on RU-vid seems to be about people who are legally ok but still get threats….or are people just cancelling the license and still watching normal tv?…PS I hate the bbc and refuse to watch any of their woak shite
If you use an internet enabled computer, you may still be liable to have to pay for a TV licence as they can also download or stream live television feeds
Even to receive BBC radio on my computer I would have to sign in so they would know if I watch t.v. because I'd no doubt have to sign in. I didn't bother.
Doesnt matter if your device is capable or not - its whether you use the function. And anyway how the hell are they going to know - unless your a prat and let them in and open your gob.
