1. Bravo Papa Arthur. 2. Metromedia was HQ'd in Cleveland, Ohio. It had an AM and FM station. AM 1420 WHK had been the first radio station in Ohio. "In the Metropolitan area, W H K." WHK FM changed to WMMS, Metro Media Stereo, a station which remains.
Does anyone remember when they changed and updated the slides in the fall of 1985? A few months later in 1986 the channel did away with the late news headlines and then shortly after the channel became Fox 5 : (
I'm from Chicago, never been to New York, but I hear channel 5 was the best station there. Only thing we got out of New York on cable was WOR-TV, which I hear is now, ironically enough, in a duopoly with 5.
WWOR-TV is absolutely nothing now. The news division shut down in summer 2013, and the facility in Secaucus, NJ is sitting to rot. Fox I believe still owns the building but there’s no productions on the network except court show reruns and countless hours of Family Feud.
I remember watching WWWF Wrestling back in the late 50s and early to mid 60s.Ray Morgan was the Host and Announcer. I wonder if they have this in their archives
