I'm glad to see these still exist. I don't know why I'm glad they do, I just am. Not as good as the 80's when I grew up, but love to see them. I think the low quality sound of times past is what makes the older sign offs better, in my opinion.
One of my local stations that actually appears on this compilation, KSL, signed off on certain weekends at least until 2014. I can't confirm if they still do as everything I've seen lately has been replaced with a longer version of the standard station ID around 3 AM that seems to be intended as a sign-on, but they're on air both before and after said station ID. Since they have something that meets sign-on/sign-off requirements, it's possible they still do sign off on rare occasions but I haven't had any luck catching it.
I understand that many of these stations are in smaller markets, but the KTTW (29:58) and KVAL 13 (34:51) sign-offs are cringeworthy, to say the least.
