The anthem was officially instrumental until after communist rule, because the lyrics had the word "God" in them.

That's literally bullshit. Every primary school student had to learn the lyrics of the Himnusz and the Szózat, and recite it by heart when asked, both back then, and nowadays.

Lol this reminded me my countrys channels such as Syria and Saudi Arabia during 80's. The broadcasting at 6 PM giving fake news (aka, glorify leaders), then national anthem, after all, they close and urging people to sleep at 7 PM 🤣

It still does. This is just the daily closedown at the end of its programme.
