@@tobennaokoli4450 he was selfish when it came to Elena because he loved her that much. He would rather she would be alive and hate him for the rest of her life, than her be dead. I didn't say it was “sweet”, I just said that was his way of showing his love. Besides, didn't Stefan do the same thing to Damon when he forced him to complete the transition just so he wouldn't have to live without his brother, even when Damon wanted to die? You guys call Damon selfish when he did the exact same thing to Elena, yet when Stefan did it to Damon, many people say it was just his love for him and that it wasn't selfish at all.
I remember this episode, Damon is such a humble guy, he put Stefan before himself for Elena because she loved him. Damon didn't take the advantage to win Elena over Stefan (coz they were having some issues) instead he told her that whatever Stefan was, it was for her good and safety ❤❤❤

Он ее очень любил, всё для нее делал и всегда готов был защищать ее,не смотря не на что,стефен не такой , да он прислушивался к елене и к ее чувствам , как надо и что сделать ,но кто сказал что елена сама знала как надо,и как правило спасал ее именно деймон. И тогда когда елена с метом улетели с моста,стефен спас мета,хотя не знал что у елены кровь вампира в организме,а если бы не было,но всё она бы погибла,и стеф конечно бы винтл себя,но ее не спасти было,деймон же всегда выбирал ее,он и сам так говорил) хорошо что они оказалист вместе, мне нравился эта пара ❤ всем таких парней, что бы горы свернул но был со своей любовью ❤ Елена же это видела как он к ней относится, знала что он ее любит, и она в глубине души тоже в него влюблялась всё больше и больше. Не спорю деймон не ангел, сделал много плохого но ведь это всё от неразделенной любви, сначала от кетрин, потом от елены, но в конце концов он достоен любви. Прекрасный сериал
