My first Kentucky Derby was 2010. I won my first 3 bets of the day, all 3 races in a row, including a a bigger bet (for a college student at least) on a 12-1 that paid for the entire trip's expense for both me and my girlfriend. Having that taken care of, I felt comfortable enough to make an even bigger bet on the actual derby. Super Saver came in and we changed our dinner plans to a much nicer place, and I bought her a dress and a diamond necklace LOL Safe to say, I was hooked, horse racing is still the only bets I'll ever make.

Man, I know that feeling right when he figured out he had a chance and he got all tense. I love that feeling.

The night before the 2005 Kentucky Derby, I dreamt my deceased uncle and I were at a race track looking at horses in the paddock. It was the first time I dreamed of him since he died, 5 years prior. My favorite uncle, "Rocco", just kept repeating himself in this lifelike dream; "Do it, just do it." "Do it, just do it." "Do it, just do it." So the following day, I went over to Delaware Park and bet $500, on "Giacomo", the longest shot on the board at 50-1. Giacomo won paying $102.60 for every $2 bet. I had 50 individual tickets to win, $10 each to win. I cashed tickets for a month straight after that win. So why did I bet that horse? My uncle Rocco's last name was "Giacomo". I haven't dreamed about my uncle since that night.
