the most impressive thing about their performances besides their stage presence is their live vocals. most kpop groups nowadays perform with very loud backtrack or pre-recorded live vocals. with tvxq you can tell it’s 100% live and it brings more energy to the performances as a result
Guys, please don't tell me you forgot who Jaejoong is! You just reacted to a whole playlist of his solo songs, like "Konayuki" 😅 He was Tohoshinki's main vocal and yes, "Lovin You" is pretty much his song. It got a Number 2 on the Oricon Chart (Japanese music chart) back in the day, along with Summer Dream, so both songs were pretty successful, but not enough to get the number one spot. They finally got the Number 1 on the Oricon on 2008 with the song "Purple Line", which is why they were performing at a super Arena that year and with Koda Kumi no less as a guests star! She was a Jpop Queen back in the day and she was HUGE! She was also their senior and their label mate; both Tohoshinki and Koda Kumi were signed with AVEX, which is why they were able to have a collab together :)
Thanks, I really enjoyed this reaction! Talking about popularity, Koda Kumi was the second last to perform at the A-Nation concerts, only before the other J-pop AVEX Queen Ayumi Hamasaki. For the boys to have a single with Koda Kumi was such a big deal. Last Angel won an award for best collab on 2007 and the boys were guests on Koda Kumi's Black Cherry Special Final in Tokyo Dome on 2007, where they performed "Last Angel" with her at the Tokyo Dome, making it the first time Tohoshinki sang at that prestigious venue! Later, they would go on to perform there themsleves, on 2009, making them the first Korean group to sing at the Tokyo Dome as the main act, one of their greatest accomplishments in Japan. Sadly, it was their first time and their last to performed there as 5 :(
