Give thanks for the kind words. I’m just sharing what I can, I’m not trying to build a following really. I’m not on social media and don’t push the videos anywhere. I just post here when I feel I have something to share, or some new music, and let it ride. I’d like to do more but time is too limited. Glad you like it.
Sorry, I know this is not the point of the video, but where did you get that guiro sound? I'm looking for a library os isolated high quality guiro sounds or, preferably, some physical modeling option. Thank you and keep up the good work!
How does this compare to other spring reverbs in your opinion? AudioThing etc This one seems versatile and will probably suit most reverb reggae dubbing needs (Fantastic review as always - blessed love)
Blessed greetings, Thanks for the good words. I demoed AudioThing Springs and it didn’t click for me. I was using PSP Springbox at the time and preferred to stay with it. Twangstrom is my favourite spring reverb plugin. AudioThing Alborosie Dub Station is another I really like, it just has no controls, other than mix, but I like simplicity at times too. I’ve heard AudioThing Springs used by other people and it sounds great, it just wasn’t for me is all.
@Blob B Obviously. That doesn't mean it changes the sound to match one created digitally altogether. A real cab miked with a SM57 is going to sound different than using Amplitude or something like that. Analog spring reverb sounds better and far more convincing even after undergoing AD conversion than any emulation plugin I've heard.
