I loved seeing your kids reactions to the light sculptures. I also love how they play and how you both play with them. You teach the world what a same sex family can be. I wish everyone saw how completely wonderful and awesome you are. Keep inspiring the world.
I wish more parents taught their kids to appreciate what they have and how they can help others perhaps not as blessed as they are. Great job guys instilling positive values in your kids. Quick tip. Years ago I learned that if you put the canned pumpkin in a saucepan and stir constantly gently heat it, it somehow tastes more fresh. It only takes three or four minutes and you can smell the difference. I have no idea why but, it works...

You guys made a revolution to me. I am a gay man from Georgia (republic) living in Belgium as a refugee (when I came out while I was at uni in Belgium, I was in trouble in Georgia. Luckily I was not there) so I applied for it and got my case approval. At that time my employment based immigration to the USA was ongoing and while watching your interviews I could stop dreaming to have my family and kids (kids were never in my plans before watching your videos). Not long time ago, my visa was approved and now, I am waiting to deliver all the documents at the embassy of the USA and move to Colorado, where my job is. I watched that one of your all amazing videos was done about a weekend trip to Breckenridge. I will be living in Dillon, the same county (Summit County). Just wanted to say that your videos made me happy and when I have a stressful memories related to the homophobic past I had, I just watch your videos which makes me happy. Wow, your mother is gorgeous. I can certainly see from whence cometh some of your good looks!!! Beyond that, she seems so calm and beautifully tranquil; a very special lady. And you two guys are always so handsome, cute, endearing, and inspiring all wrapped into one. The children are delightful as always and I love how you let them include you in their magic moments (Burton, you make such a cute donkey), and how you have them participate in family traditions (like working on the crusts of the amazing pumpkin pies), and then there was the painting of the nails - a memory made of sharing together in a fun activity. It's so great how you guys encourage your kids' imaginations and creativity! I loved the Chinese light show and I'm (ahem) a bit over 50 years old. I wonder if it's only in NC or if there's something similar in Chicago. The Christmas decorations in and outside your house look like a department store display! So pretty! Please let us know where you buy your (many) flannel shirts. It was 60-degrees in Chicago last week and a great big high of 19-degrees yesterday (December 7th). I need to find some heavyweight flannel shirts asap! Oh. One more thing: How did Thanksgiving itself turn out? Yummy?
The Chinese lanterns, butterflies and creatures are exceptional in the video and must have been extraordinary in person. What a magical addition to holiday celebrations for kids and adults alike. Always a treat to see and hear the twins and loved the special appearance from their lovely Mimi, too.

That I make still, I'm afraid when I pass they will be lost. No one seems to be able to make them right. I have showed them and even written out the recipe. Fun, fun video! I can recall my mom and dad struggling to get 'all' the lights on the strand glowing.
