I think tweek should really explore the PT fox matchup. I really dont agree with his take that he loses to fox, and would honestly lean more towards even. There's too many advantages that the Pokémon have to dismiss this as losing. And light does not have the best record against PT, losing to both Quidd and Puppeh, so that is definitely worth exploring. I think light has started to turn around his relationship with wario again after beating both tweek and Gluto's warios, making the counter pick too risky. And the Diddy just loses way too hard to fox. Unless tweek is entranced, light just wins the neutral interactions and steals banana for free.
The issue though is that Fox heavily outdamages PT and has much easier combo starters to land. I don't agree with your opinion, and neither do a lot of PT mains. I've been in the PT discord and people don't seem to like that match up. All 3 pokemon are just too slow.
@@ellachino4799 although that is true, fox needs that damage because he is a much more honest character and has to build up the damage to +100% to kill. Squirtle can combo fox pretty hard as he is a fast faller and can easily net 40-50% from one grab. Ivysaur has quite a few kill confirms on fox that can kill as low as 60%, and can easily steal a stock when he is offstage at 0%. Similarly charizard has quite a few ways to kill fox even if the matchup sucks for him. Also squirtle has an arguably comparable neutral with quick and safe moves that flatten his hurtbox and make him near impossible to hit. You don't have to agree and I'm fairly aware that PT mains think that. Similarly, some fox mains think the matchup is even, and light and the commentators believe squirtle beats fox. Doesn't make anyone absolutely right or not, it's just close enough to be worth a shot, at least in my opinion. And frankly, Tweek's PT did just about as good as his Diddy which is his best character, and knowing light's struggle with PT, it'd be worth exploring more.
Yeah, Fox and Falco using side b when they're near the blast zone kills them. Don't know exactly why, but when I play Falco it happens every time where I for sure should've lived.
Its probably the same reason you die when you airdodge directionally right near the blast zone, or when puff buffers a jump, it very slightly increases the size of your hitbox. That or it very slightly shifts your hitbox backward right before launching you forwards. Either way, it has something to do with hitbox shifting.
@@gregoryent yeah this was my assumption as well. I also got the impression it was more about your momentum than just proximity to the blast zone alone
@@sikeyno.8797 I mean they're realistic underdogs. Right now it seems like it's either gonna be Leo, Spargo, Light, Glutto or one of the Japanese players like Proto winning so for sure Riddles or Kola would be underdogs compared to them. I'd love to say "I want a Fatality vs Leon Finals in a major" but that's just unrealistic lol.
@@thekingbradable oh dàmn. So light beating tweek and so on just flipped the order lmao. Especially knowing Leo almost always wants to get rid of Tweek personally. Talk about full circle lol
the reason aaron can win this Mu is bc he doesnt play in shield as much as tweek. tweek really started playing in shield way too much in game 5. light started grabbing and getting enough extra damage off tech chases as well. and we all know what that sets up for... GGs from both players!
