I completely understand Proto's issues between the games physically due to anxiety, though I gotta say Tweek's expression is absolutely priceless: 🤨 LMAO
And the stupid commentators just laugh at the whole situation instead of getting him help or really making sure he was ok. Very disgusting on their part here
@@LazyNinjassThey’re commentators who speak a whole different language. If anything, Watch should be there for any emergencies for the Japanese players.
Honestly I feel Banham’s nerves got the better of him. Last game he was not as aggressive and precise as usual with Lucina. I wish he stayed Lucina in the fourth game
I absolutely love watching protobanham’s lucina. This is also the first time I’ve ever seen him lose a set now that I think of it. The best dual main by far.
I understand a lot more about Proto now, why he ices between games, why he didn't compete for so long. Seems like he has a real anxiety and panic attack issue which cost him hard here
Spoilers: Tweek was baiting Banham with banana - it was genius! He realised Banham was using the classic “camp with Diddy’s banana” strat, so he started throwing out banana “unsafely” as bait, and was 1. punishing Banham for going for the banana, and 2. was playing around Lucina’s limited moveset when she’s holding an item - she can’t spam normals Yes, Banham was using banana extremely well, but it doesn’t cover as much space as her insane aerials. GG to both players, but I was insanely impressed by this particular detail 😁
We all know about the Proto's swapping characters strategy, but for real, what was that Min Min pick game 4 ? I don't get it, he literally threw away a game instead of staying with Lucina after that easy game 3 win. Like yeah he could counterpick game 5, but still, I don't understand why he didn't just take the chance to have "at least" two more games with Lucina instead of just one. Don't think his Lucina would have been "downloaded" either. Pretty much what cost him the set imo, but I guess he knows better.
He says he switches when he feels someone is catching on, i think he got nervous since tweek was able to make the lucina game competitive even after going down so hard in the begining.
In the first and second game he put a lot of pressure with Min Min on Diddy Kong but didn't do it in game 4. Looks to me like he had pain in the chest and was exhausted. Seems like took a toll on him physically. I hope he is fine and this is temporary
Banham should have done ANOTHER double jump again at the end there hahaha. Just play like it's elite smashing those crucial moments will throw pros off soemtines I feel. But instead the reverse conditioning from tweek got it
@@mocast3407 This statement was so close to fact. The only problem is that the one person who can consistently beat Proto also happened to be invited to Summit.
These commentators are stupid or just don’t care. That actually looked like a medical emergency for a few seconds from proto. That was not ok to laugh it off when the guy looks like he’s clenching his heart for dear life.
Those were poor decisions from the commentators that assumed he was fine and made jokes. That doesn’t mean call 911 but at least send his translator up there much quicker to check on him to see if he is okay. This was a low moment for the commentators. Hopefully they realize the magnitude of something like this and just grow from it in case of the next time
Why did they keep correcting themselves from "Proto" to "Banham"? Is it because in Japan he is nicknamed Banham, so people want to honour that? Kinda confused, but AWESOME set.
Pretty criminal that Diddy up smash doesn't kill at fucking 140 dmg on Min-Min...Every smash attack should kill at that percentage, especially with a charge.
Can someone explain why he wants to be called “Banham” instead of Proto? Read a Q&A session about his name and Banham isn’t even how it’s spelled in Japanese, it’s Banamu and for some reason he never explained why he doesn’t want to be called this in the thread.
If you have a tag and people use part of it, you may have a preference for which part. It’s like if we said MK instead of Leo or Tony instead of Gluto. If he likes Banham more go for it. I imagine the only reason it took some time for it to catch is the language barrier
