Shows that he's definitely one of the best Stadium players around. Godlike run, I don't see that getting beaten in this century at least. (insert "I'll eat a hat if this gets beaten" promise here)
It's been a whole 7 years since I played United. I'm playing Stadium 2 right now and I think I might move back into playing United. It's just that I have many other games I'm dedicating hours to. I just got heavily into CS:GO, but I don't want to leave this game behind. I have many good memories of this game. I think I will just stick around on solo and try to become a pretty good player again. Good video as always.
Tween scares me with his speed. I once downloaded a map and tried racing his ghost.... I think you all know how that went..... Also, hello from 2018, and don't ask how this ended up in my recommended xD
Now when I'm starting to thing about this - and I'm NOT saying Tween cheated, I believe he is skilled enough to do this - but would it be possible, just out of curiosity, to do an awesome run like this by installing TM in virtualbox and then use snapshots to save the game state mid-run so that you could run each lap repeatedly if you crashed? Someone please try, I need to know.

Yes. It's possible using AHK, AutoIt, or perhaps a neural network. The best solution would to use a program named hourglass, but a problem is that to my knowledge it's only run-able on Windows XP and would need to be modded to run with TM.
Awesome run by Tween, awesome analysis by Jav. Anyhow, this brings me to thinking - Jav, do you know of any tools to do tool-assisted runs in TM? Something like saving the game state mid-run, slowing time etc. I'm not talking about cheating but rather a different category where tool-assisted runs would be marked as such and would serve as a kind of optimal, perfect reference runs. Would be nice to see what the best possible times could be. But they could also break the whole wr system. But in speedrunning, tool-assisted runs are widely accepted cathegory. Any thoughts on this?
+Miloslav Číž online you can see the sector times so you can calculate (or the server can calculate) the best possible time with the best sectors. i know its not the same but then again the best player can drive perfect runs

I agree we can approximately calculate the best time on this particular map by just taking the best lap time ever and multiplying it by the number of laps, but it's not the same - the result is not exact and you don't have the replay to watch and play against. With tools you could see what for example A01 perfect time looks like, which might be interesting and it might be nice to watch how close humans can get to it. Not even best players can do perfect runs on maps more complex than A-3 on TM Nations.
Miloslav Číž sectors are the times inbetween every cp. so tween could have the best sector from cp 1 and cp 2 and then karjen could have the best sector from cp 2 to cp 3 and so on.. then the server calculates all the best sectors and displays a possible best run. type /sector and some servers will show you this info (i think thats how it works)
+Trackmania Ragle Oh yes but of course this is inaccurate because it doesn't take into account the transition between sectors, for example you can get a better time on sector 2 if you try but for a price of slower sector 1 etc etc, so this is only approximation, plus even the time within a sector will never be perfect. Tools would also be able to reveal cuts that humans won't be able to do because their are too hard or at the end of a really long track.
sure but with tools, it feels kind of pointless. sure you will get some insane time thats ''possible'' but noone will ever be able to drive like a tool assisted car anyway (i have no idea how you are going to simulate a perfect tool assisted run). with sectors, if they are not missused as u pointed out its the best way. and its already in the game. thoughts?
That guy is either a god at the game, or he has written a really good bot for it (which would be equally impressive, since said bot would have to know about wallbumps, glitches etc)
How someone has the patience and consistency, never mind the skill to pull this off, is beyond me. Edit: the choice of music was so bad, I had to mute it long before the halfway mark.
this is NUTS... I only recently finished this map (i never had the patience to finish it) and you need to be super focused the whole time and for me beating the gold medal was a huuuge thing.. and he is 10minutes faster.. wow
I've spent the past 2 days trying to beat this track, just broke 30 hours in the game not the best but fucking hell landing bug after 20+ laps makes me wanna die
1 hour track record. Maybe so many people havent beaten his average lap because no one gives enough of a fuck to play an hour long map lol. Just looked at the record board on tmx no karjen.... no frost.... no carl jr and only one of the RTA guys BLizz. So remind me whats so sick about a record on a track that no one worth a damn has played? Dont pull racehans out your arse either, that over hyped TA queen. I played this game for a long long time and its funny to see as the big names left that the rest of the people are playing for the scraps that were left behind.
Your comment would might have some point if his average(!!!!!) lap time isn't that fast, so there is only a few players, who has ever beaten it, even in a single lap. But this speed and consistency is fascinating. Even if you played a lot, this comment is just hating on something impressive.
