Going into this we had no clue who this band was, what they sounded like, looked like, what kind of genre and what have you. But this was one of the most entertaining hilarious stunningly talented bands we’ve ever experienced. I’m going to call it now and say this is now one of our favorite bands on just this track alone. We go from a fall out of you chair dying laughing from excellent comedic timing of a WTF is happening right now into an instant adrenaline head bobbing bomb drop of a mix between a track off of Korns debut album and Mudvanyes LD50. And than into a driving melodic chorus similar to something you’d hear off of Faith No Mores “King For A Day Fool For A Lifetime” album. Than a complete left turn in a Mr.Bungle funky lounge multi layered vocal harmonies rhythm section. Sorry for all the references but when you hear a band that completely blows your mind you tend to draw comparisons to other band as your trying to make senses of who is this BAND! But make no mistake this band is on a completely different level. I believe we just opened up a whole new rabbit hole and can’t wait to hear what other kind of brilliant madness this band has to offer. GAME OVER
This comment was almost my exact thoughts first time I heard them a couple years ago and now that I’ve listened to everything they had for a year or two, they are my go to band every time I’m up in the air about what to listen to. So much diversity and originality through each song…suggesting “OVER AND OUT” video for next reaction, great song and even better hilarious video to go with it!
HELL YES. I'm so happy you finally stumbled into Twelve Foot Ninja. They are much more deserving of more attention than they get. They're from Australia, so the touring gets complicated, but they're at least getting decent international attention - especially in the United States and in Europe. Try the official music video for "Coming For You" sooner than later; it's more great music and comedy mixed into one tasty video. Love you guys! JIMBO \m/\m/
Your reactions are PRICELESS! There's nothing like seeing reactions from people watching their first TFN video/song! They're sort of defunct right now, but they're seriously one of the most talented bands I've ever heard in my 48 years on Earth.
I mean look at the bands Gwar and Primus. I think it goes to show that whenever you have so much talent, but are also equally fun and humble, you just want to have a good time with your friends and bandmates. You just want to have fun in general, and it goes to show that these guys like to kick back and have a good time with their audience. It’s a wonderful time for sure. I recommend seeing them live.
DEFINITELY go down the Twelve Foot Ninja rabbit hole! 🤘 I highly suggest the following from them: Mother Sky, Oxygen, Point of You, IDK, Gone, Collateral, Monsoon, Kingdom.... Just to name a few. And I DEFINITELY recommend listening/reacting to the acoustic versions of their newest album by the guitar Rohan Hayes. Maybe a reaction to the album version then the acoustic version in the same video? Just food for thought haha great reaction glad you enjoy them!
I fell in love with how much fun these guys have writing their songs and even funnier, how they make their videos. Its all the crazy ideas you had if you ever played in a band, all about the fun. These guys are hilarious. This was my first song of theirs that I heard and fell way down the rabbit hole right after hearing it. They are from Australia, have toured with Jinjer, and continue to make great sounding songs.
They just recently announced they are taking an indefinite hiatus and cancelled their 2023 tour after failing to find a vocalist to replace Kin. We might not get anything else from them except the acoustic album Rohan is working on.
@@rosswoodland6449 They announced at the end of last year that he was leaving due to differences in the creative writing process. Kin said he would tour with them for the rest of this year while they tried to find a replacement, but they didn't find anyone who they felt fit the band.
Ross to the rescue! Been waiting for you guys to check out TFN for a long time. The music vids are wacky, but they are seriously good musicians too. Over And Out with Tati is a must watch and they have so many other great songs worth checking out.
Saw these guys live, the bass is fkn LOW I love it. They wear those black baggy style clothing ONLY and the transitions are less silly than the music video- They’re Aussies so we like to have fun lol
Yes!!! Twelve Foot Ninja!!! Such a great band, and they are metal but are a genre bending metal. Great band and great reaction guys!! Request: Erra - Snowblood ( sick band, sick song)
Notice how the main riff is different everytime, it sounds the same but they introduce small variations. Also, their transitions are out of this world, amazing how you don't actually get shocked as they are so smooth even though it's 2 completely different styles. Check Coming for you, it's crazy good.
It’s playing off the two bands that are in rehearsal, next to eachother, but happen to be the same members, only dressed differently, so each part sounds different. Like a Mr Bungle or Mike Patton song
The thing you both described in this band that sounds "Nu metal" "Core Metal", the particularility of this band, is that their made most of their ghosts notes, an heavy impact/ djenty thing, which makes their sounds impacting still very melodic and catchy. My favorite is Deluge, the final drop is phenomenal
Check out: Coming For You, Mother Sky and Sick. Sadly the band are kind of done now....Nik the singer has left, Ro the Bass player left a while ago. See what happens next.
First time checking out your channel...as soon as I heard the My Own Summer intro(Deftones 4 Life)...."oh shit, they are going to dig this", and you had me clapping along with you 😁 (Aussies love seeing people enjoy their weird sense of humor from other places in the world) Just by a quick scroll through your vids, everyone loves suggestions....Make Them Suffer 'Ghost of Me' is a recent release that people are doing and it's a banger. Another Aussie band. The song 'Doomtrain' is also really popular and I think you'd enjoy both.
Seen many live gigs most recently Tool which was incredible Machine Head Metallica Faith No More etc. I saw these guys in 2018 in a bar playing to no more than 200 people and I can't stress enough how damn good they were. Easily one of the best gigs ive ever been too. Edit forgot to mention that around the beginning of the year the lead singer Kin left the band and after an extensive search for a new vocalist that basically didnt come to fruition they disbanded a few months back which gutted me as they are one of my favorite bands.
If this band caught your eye, you would probably enjoy Dog Fashion Disco. Vocal stylings are shockingly similar despite being fairly unique. The best way I have ever found to describe Dog Fashion Disco that makes no sense till you hear them, is if Rob Zombie took cocaine instead of psychodelics. But since you know Twelve Foot Ninja, thing a mix of those two things and it works. It won't make sense till you hear DFD, but once you do, it does. 9-5 At The Morgue is a good starting point, followed up with Albino Rhino.
Fantastic band. Just a real shame they tossed their bassist, lost their vocalist and are now indefinitely on hiatus. They were probably going way too fast for their own good and now the car is on fire and left somewhere on the Monash freeway for the cops to scoop up.
Did they toss the bassist? I heard he left. Vocalist is hanging around for a year whilst they find someone new. They’ve been around for a very long time. I hope they continue.
With Igorrr and now Twelve foot.. I feel like We Butter the Bread With Butter might be around the corner xD if so. WBTBWB - N!CE WBTBWB - Sprich Sie Einfach An WBTBWB - Metal
