Just got done watching episode 14 and I'm already crying my heart out 😭 Yiijin congratulates Heedo ( who is about to get married ) whilst interviewing her

I’m still not convinced that Baek Yi Jin is dead because on early episodes of it Hee Do’s mom said she just saw Yi Jin as we all know both of them are working at the same News Company. We’ll see as far as I can see I am loving the story as it goes how the characters are coping about life. Isn’t always rainbow.

I just finished watching ep 16 and at the end of the movie,they showed yijin back when he was trying to get into an old account but he forget cus it's been a while he logged into that account not until he tried to retrieve his password and the first question he was asked was "what's the name of your first love" and he typed na hee do...so I just hope that's a happy ending cus yijin was really a gem in that movie 🥺... because he portrayed beautiful characters there and I couldn't get enough of him 🥺

The kdrama showed reality. Lol i finished watching it yesterday and can't stop thinking about the ending. I've mixed feelings about it. 1. They should've talked out things. Yijin should've contacted heedo after he read her diary . 2. Heedo should've also contacted her and told him about her feelings. 3. I'm happy how heedo ( in future ) doesn't regret a single thing she did in the past. She accepts her past and cherished it as good memories. Really loved how mature she was in future. But still it hurts me to think of how they loved each other so much and still weren't together. When they saw each other live , i can't even think how they must've felt at that moment. Watching your 1st love marrying someone else , or watching your ex congratulating you for your wedding. My god . But the thing is they broke up years ago. It was just a memory for them. But for us viewers it was unacceptable because we just saw them breaking up then fast forwarded to the future, YIJIN and HEEDO talking live on news. It makes me feel how life is filled with different memories. Everything would change at some point. Our life , our mentality, people around us . Everything will change . We all grow everyday. Life is actually so short . We must cherish each and every moment. This drama was a reality check for me. Really loved the drama. Can't stop thinking about it .

I think aside from the two ending up being apart, there are many factors that make the ending so incredibly sad.. These two had a whole other level of closeness in their relationship, that their break up was really devastating. Both said hurtful things that they apologized for, but yet were painful to watch. They could have apologized and tried to fix the relationship, but didn't. That's sadly a common mistake in relationships so I understand the "realistic" ending factor here. BUT here's were it becomes tragic: 1) For starters Na HeeDo as mother doesn't recall precious memories like when they went to the beach. I may say this is one of the most memorable memories of the group all together. 2) After they went their separate ways, it seems like they didn't talk to each other anymore. Not even as friends. I understand that the first while after a break up it becomes painful to talk to ones old loved one, but this went on for years. According to the show, the first time the 2 had talked was during the interview of the show. 3) the group's gatherings turned from 5 friends into only 4 being there. Yi Jin didn't seem to be part of them anymore.. I understand certain choices that were made but things like: why Yi Jin chose to stay in NY without talking to her first, or who Na Hee Do's husband is and how they met, and what happened to Yi Jin's relationship? Did he ever marry anyone?? I feel all these important factors played a role in making the ending more sad than it already was. Having answers to these questions would give some kind of comfort because in all honesty, I STILL CAN'T GET OVER THE ENDING!! But back to the video, I truly hope YiJin didn't die from exhaustion. His life during the story was already sad as it was, sacrificing so much for the sake of bringing his family back together. He deserves a happy ending too. Plus, I think NaHeeDos mom mentioned seeing him in the present time so I'm assuming he is alive at that time

I keep scrolling videos from youtube that has a theory of heedo - yijin ending. I will not stop until I saw a video of happy ending theory between those two 😭. I just want to convince myself that there are still a spark of happy ending in this beautiful story 😭

I fell completely in love with this series. I really wished there were more episodes.

in the scene where yijin looks at the locker with their pictures from the beach in ep 11, yijin put his name in that one picture where heedo was in. since heedo didnt put her name under the picture it means she didnt own a copy of the photo. if u watch ep 10, that same picture can be seen in heedo’s album. this could suggest that they are married and yijin could have put it there himself or he gave na heedo the picture.

there is something that exists and it is called connative language, not literal so there is a possibility that hee do's mother's words 'I met yijin' means that I visited her grave. I base it on his expression and why Heedoo doesn't ask more about how and where he was. I knew it from the beginning with the resemblance to the 'snowdrop' poster but I didn't want to accept it. IT IS THAT I FELL IN LOVE WITH BAEKDO, seriously, it needs a happy ending.

Regardless if this is based on true story or not, just like any drama/movie they can twist and change many parts. Anyway I’ll going carry on hoping there’s a chance for YiJin and Heedo for their happy ending.

Am I the only one that's happy that Yejin didn't die at 25 or like in his 20s?! After reviewing the clips, I'm really hoping now that they're END GAME! Maybe they are trying to keep everything a secret/coy and are secretly married so prevent any controversies. Maybe Min Chae didn't recognize his younger version of her father in those pictures/vids (maybe she's never seen his old pics before bc he's so busy), and they used Baek Ye Jin's old last name (if he really is adopted!) to protect their daughter. This whole show is telling them to not get too close bc of their careers but maybe the point of it is to fight for what they have! They've literally been fighting for everything (career, family, etc)...so why not true love? xD I get that break ups happen, but I feel like it would be so sudden for a break up or death to happen in only 2 episodes! This show is so good in keeping things under wraps. Personally, you either keep old things for sentimental value if someone either passes away or if they're together. Who keeps old things from an ex boyfriend? So if HeeDo still has some of his old things and Yejin is still alive...then maybe they actually are together. lol idk...this show is too good. haha

I have a theory. So according to what I think Kim Min Chae is Ko Yu Rim and Ji Woong's daughter. Ko Yu rim somehow got pregnant with Ji Woong's daughter but couldn't tell him. We also see that Ji Woong is a fashionista and is interested is dance and music other than studies(Min Chae could have got dance talent from him) so he decided to become a star(maybe). Ko Yu Rim didn't want him to give up on his dreams so she didn't tell him and decided to raise her alone. But after giving birth she died. Now we can assume that Hee Do took the responsibility to raise her as her daughter. Maybe at that time Baek Yi Jin was out abroad an didn't know about this situation so after returning he thought that Min Chae is Hee Do's daughter. The reason of Yi Jin and Heedo not being in touch could be of Yi Jin's responsibility to bring his family together. Na Hee Do's decision to marry Kim Junho could be because of she knew importance of father in life as her father passed away at a very young age and she has suffered a lot because of it. The song 25 21 is about death or sad ending of first love and we all know that Hee Do's first love was Ko Yu Rim and not Baek Yi jin. We were all given metaphors of these here and there. In one episode when Yu Rim says that Baek Yi jin was her first love she says that it was't him but his sports card. Maybe the writer wants us to give attention to even the small details. Also I am a little skeptical about Seungwan's placement in all of this because she has a drastic character development from last 3 to 4 episodes. this is just my theory and observation. Also I don't know if He Do's mom has Dementia or not. I may be totally wrong or partially right. Edit- Also Kim Junho is a guy going to be introduced so story may take some turn. He maybe Hee Do's crush or something when she was young.

Well, it was mentioned in some episode that Na Hee Do's mother meets Yijin somewhere, so fortunately Baek Yijin does not die. It may be similar but not 100% same as mentioned in the video. So there may be twists later on, but Yijin doesn't die for sure.

Well after reading all comments from every where I ended up with 1. Baek yijin died and thats how hee do wanted to forget everything 2. Hee do raising her friends daughter 3. Hee do and baek yijin was keeping distance because of his work that's how they didn't meet for so many years that's how hee do got married with different person and he died....still hee do miss yijin. 4. Someone might have dementia either hee do or hee do's mother🤣 5.may be hee do has one side crush over yijin and she wrote about some fictional story with him like us🥲 6. Or may be we became mentally ill

If Yijin is fated to die in the end that explains all the dreamy scene of Baek Yijin like he's too much of a good thing for this world. One beautiful soul, that's what his character is. I just finished watching this drama, I'm a little disappointed but this is a more real fact of life. This is what I like about Korean dramas, the storyline is not easy to predict . Its possible to continue to story 🥰 ... hope to see them ( Kim Tae Ri & Nam Joo Hyuk ) again in season 2 hehe...

Unfortunately, I think Yejin might die as well. The picture that Yejin had of HeeDo is now in adult HeeDo's photo album even though she didn't order it. So she might have found out Yejin had that photo after his passing, and she kept it in her album. I thought Jaurim's song was just about a break up, but after listening to the song again and learning about the meaning, it makes more sense. There's so many clues: She named her shop 2521 probably dedicated to him and their relationship, HeeDo and her mom were wearing black when they were talking about how she "Met him a month ago" (it's based on the color theory of the show), etc. Also, I feel like the killer that was caught in ep 12 is foreshadowing that he might escape again and that YeJin might follow the case as a reporter. He might get injured..or worse. :( Anyway, I really hope it's all not true, but I'm here for the ride. I just really hope YeJin finds happiness and peace bc this whole time he's been struggling and I really want to see him win at life. I think he is happy though becoming a reporter, finding love, etc. But I'm rooting for him just as much as for HeeDo and the rest of the group! This is such a great show with great story telling and even if it's bittersweet, it's really teaching everyone life lessons. It's so good.

for me, it's not so much of wanting Yijin and Heedo to end up together, but I wanted to see a reunion ig. A part of me is amazed by the ending and the other half is sad and disappointed. So many questions not yet answered. Even if Yijin did die, it would have been nice to confirm that because then we could get a bit of closure. I'm fine with not seeing who she married because being introduced to a new character last minute is too much in the last episode, Also who sent the box with the diary to Yijin. Why include a name. But still, it was a great drama. 10/10 for me. It makes sense why they ended it that way, but it's heartbreaking. I loved the two so much and did want them to end up together but that's life. The goodbyes they said at the bus stop broke me.

The moment Minchae appeared as Kim, I know something would've happened when they reached 25&21 years old. This may also be the reason Heedo stopped fencing

Well, I hope they write another Season and give them a happy ending while keeping the cast in tact. Yi Jin can collapse from exhaustion due to work as a wake up call to take time to enjoy life. Anything except a breakup and death.

I can't bear sad ending of Nam Joo Hyuk's character in another drama. I am not over the trauma from Dazzling (light in your eyes)😭 Nam Joo Hyuk plays the 'nice' guy character so well that you get too attached to his role while watching But I think this drama will be a happy ending because it has an overall healing vibe

i watch some korean theory which also make sense. it would be sad ending if its really based on kim yuna's real story. but in that korean theory, if you rewatch from ep 1 until 10, you will assume that yijin will not D word but its yurim instead and heedo's mom have dementia, yijin's was minchae's dad. first, in that song 2521 abt first love, yijin is not heedo's first love but its yurim (plus in ep 12, we can see yurim choose work than school :( so she might the one who will D word). why heedo's mom have dementia? bc when the time minchae ask her grandma, who is baek yijin and her expession when grandma say do you know baek yijin. also when grandma say she just saw yijin last month, heedo's face was change, not sad but shocked bc u know its pandemic era plus yijin aka minchae's dad at oversea that time @.@ and why "kim" minchae instead baek, for some reason in korea that time, yijin perhaps changed to his real name, and during oncall with his dad, he perhaps also adopted. but we still dont know what will writer done with this drama with 4 episode left now, im scared its too rush to end it huhu, somehow hoping happy ending or open ending, can d word but please make them happy first :( thats all, anyway 2521 fighting!!

Me still niether is convinced....there's also this scene ....when kim min chae was with her granny...naa hee do was sitting just beside her mother..and her mother stated to her that she came across ye jin this week or few days back..so i guess there 's no way of him die..and the thing is we don't even want him to die we fans are waiting just to see ..naa hee do and ye jin together .....😶💚

I think the story was modified. You would have thought they would end up together because they were people who would never agree to giving up in anything. From the episodes, you would see they met again to say their goodbyes but obviously, they looked like people who wanted to be together but something was seperating them. I just think they only tried their best not to break their viewers heart by hiding the details. At some point, I felt like there really was no concrete reason for the break up because the second lead character fought for their love even with the distance, making us see that distance was not the problem I really think there is a lot hidden in the movie. The older Yi Jin was not shown later but the older Hee do was. The story portrays a break up that was inevitable, that couldn't be stopped because they grew apart in different worlds but in reality it might have been Yi Jin's death. At the end, when you would have thought that Yi Jin would be shown at the bridge with Hee Do, we see only Hee Do and her memory of that place. And about the mum seeing Yi Jin could be because she was sick but in reality, Yi Jin wasn't seen by the mum

After episode 14, I guess all the assumptions about Yijin's death is resolved. There were pain and hesitations in eyes, hee-do could barely talk, yijin maintained the professionalism though but it’s clear that he was struggling while interviewing her and choked. Either way it’s painful. This drama is really full of surprises. Don't know what's waiting at the end.

This series really touched my heart and I cried my heart out at the end. - not the ending I was hoping for. So happy to hear the theory of them being together!

i don't see a point in trying to find proofs that BYJ and NHD end up together because that would not correlate with one of the main messages of this drama. There are multiple times when characters have monologues about how everything is temporary, or about how important it is to learn from the past and always go on. The relationship of the two was indeed temporary, but it is more important that they both learned a lot from that short experience. You see, memories that are not forgotten, live forever. Even if their relationship didn't continue, they both continued to love other people by the same love principles they learned together. So the love never disapears, but it spreads to other people.

i hope there will be season 2 i love this drama i hope yijin doesn't die 😭

I have a lot of questions in this series... 1) Why is there no wedding photos of Na Hee Do, atleast one? 2) Is Kim Min Chae there real daughter? 3) How did Na Hee Do's solo picture on beach ended up on here album? when the fact is only Baek Yi Jin has that copy? 4) Na Hee Do's answers on the TV interview w/ Yi Jin is too much personal, when she doesn't want that kind of stuff.

The theory that Baek Yijin is adopted and his real last name is Kim, there’s a scene where his dad says “thanks for making me happy for the last 10 years” maybe that’s a sign that he’s adopted. And he gets married to HeeDo with the last name Kim but keeps Baek as a “stage name” of sorts as a reporter to also help keep the two lives separate

I have watched the movie twice and not episode 16 more intently and I know its a movie but I am pissed. Yi jin didn't try hard enough to keep his girl. It was like he had also given up. Its just a waste of such a good love. So sad

Well I have had different theories in mind about minchae's father- Well 1) I think minchae is not actually heedo's daughter, minchae might be adopted. Well adopted means I theorized that minchae is yurim's and jiwoong's daughter amd because yurim and jiwoong might hv died, amd yurim asked heedo to raise her up ,so she did it. 2) I think minchae's dad who sent her gifts..could be baek yijin, but again as we see that Minchae saw the group photo of her mother's friends together( baek yijin was there in the photo) but she didn't recognize him so he is not the dad. That's why, i thought it this way, according to *no.1*, that only yurim died, so jiwoong is the dad she might be referring, jiwoong and heedo are raising minchae, heedo pretending to her mother(?) (Idk, this is just one of my thoughts) 3) well now if you saw the episode 13 preview, there shows a guy coming to heedo and her calling the guy "oppa" , that guy is Kim junho, after that yijin seems a bit jealous....here through this i am afriad that guy might be heedo's future husband😱 and minchae's father because their surname is same "kim minchae, kim junho" ...ahhhhh plss i want yijin and heedo to be together...😭😭😭😭idk what will happen,...lets just wait and watch....ahhh I JUST WANT HAPPY ENDING WHERE YIJIN AND HEEDO ARE HAPPY TOGETHER😭😭😭😭

Yijin is alive, and here's my reasoning: 1) Minchae encountered Yijin while attempting to open the lock. 2) Heedo's mom also met him, and if the production team intended to suggest memory issues, they would have mentioned it. The word used was something like ,"mannaso," which directly translates to "meeting", not "visiting" someone in a grave. Heedo's reaction was just a state of shock and on top of that, she seemed to surfing over the photo and think of everyone in the frame. Use your common sense, if someone you genuinely loved and cared passed away, and you get to see them in a group photo, you'd not run your eyes through everyone else in the photo who are alive and well but rather only the person who passed away to reminisce of the memories involuntarily. Heedo didn't show any sign of pain of a person who lost person, she just seemed nostalgic. 3) In the epilogue, Yijin logs into his old account with a desk setup that absolutely does not allign with the mid-2000s. Considering the deduction of years, it's likely between 2007-2008 when he last used the website, consistent with what he mentioned in the epilogue about not using it for the past 15 years. The decision to only show his back in that crucial scene adds to the drama, making hiring another actor for a small part unnecessary.

Sorry but I'm not at all satisfied with this series 15 chapters thrown in the trash. They were so in love from the beginning and suffered so much to leave the viewers without a convincing ending in the last chapter??? And a daughter without a father and Naeedo in love?? OMG the writer of this story for Netflix fell asleep and didn't finish it... and finally Nam Joo cried that he ran out of tears noooo

Baek ye Jin is not dead because hee do mother met him in present so we can say that ye Jin is alive.. Even if they are not married in present...they would have probably fund their happiness and have a successful career...

He can't be dead because in the last ep, we see Yijin taping on his pc to search about things of 15 years ago.

Actually, you feel jealous from the succeed the drama has had. Korean drama are perfect in everything and every detail that cannot be found in other worldwide dramas. Fighting korean dramas. We always expecting new wonderful drama that ever been seen before

I am not sure that it is an happy ending or not bt i am sure that ye-jin is not dead! As we know that in previous episode Naa hee-do's mom told her that I met ye-jin! So it's not possible that he is death.

Baek Yi-Jin didn't die.. he even tried to retrive his email by the emergency question "Who is your first love" in the last part of episode 16 and he answered it "Na Hee-do" Just a hunch and I'm not sure if they've given us a hint.. but Im also intrigued of Min-chae's father-- Im guessing it's Hee-Do's co fencer which she called oppa that Yi-Jin got jealous to.. (Yi-Jin so jealous that he twist the umbrella as if he will fly with it) is it Kim Jun-Ho oppa? Or maybe I'm wrong and its just cameo role 🤔✌😁 Hope there's season 2

I was just really hoping until the last second, that they will show us her husband, so at least we knw a bit of the mystery... The plot is really good but not until episode 16 ,and still it has bcme a puzzling drama,.. it feels like it was cut short or suddenly the writer's didn't want to write any longer, it doesn't make since at all, thr has to be an ending good or bad.. although I understand that it's a good strategy to make the drama the talk of the town still thr should be an ending to the story..

No, I dont think he is dead, there’s one episode in which Na Heed Do’s mother told her that she saw again Yi Jin at that was in present time.. I think it was in the same episode when she found out that the wedding ring of her parents still exist.

yijin is alive probably uk cuz of the final scene after the end credits where he's trying to log into some website after 15 yrs and they ask who's his first love (for password verification) and he replies na hee-do. n plus heedo's mom had met yijin a few days ago so he isnt dead. but yea ofc id like to see wht happened of him. whos heedo's husband n minchae's father. there r so many speculations tht its yijin n lookin at the proofs given to justify they seem believable so overall in general its an open end to us.
