As broadcast on CBS on Monday, March 20, 1961, and contains all of the commercials from that airdate. Stars Ingrid Bergman, Rip Torn, and Jerry Orbach.
I adore John Williams... Most underrated british actor ever. He was simply Brilliant in absolutely every role he played and there were thousands. Bravo, what a spectacular cast and story 👍🥰🤗🎬
Phenomenal cast all around! I'm shocked, being a classic movie lover that I've never heard of or seen this before now. What an absolute treat, such a wonderful story and Ingrid at her most beautiful 🥰🤗🎬🥀
James T. Aubrey, CBS' ruthless president, LOATHED these kind of specials. He felt they got in the way of his "week in, week out" programming philosophy (his schedule of endless sitcoms and action-adventure/Westerns generated more profits for the network). But he couldn't say "no" to a sponsor like Revlon.
Didn't care for this movie at all, even though dramatic, worse...it is TRAGIC when a person's love is not returned. Too bad so many are like this young man.
