Navigating's music video is part of their whole "lore" story, which has a playlist on TwentyOnePilots' youtube called the Clancy Story, which you should def react to if you want more of an understanding, especially before the Paladin Strait MV comes out, as that is meant to wrap everything up. Snap Back is actually the third MV that Tyler's shaved his head in. Thanks for a great reaction!
i love how concerned you were about some of the 'stunts' in the videos. At their live shows they put a board on the crowd that Josh drums on with fans holding him up and he does a backflip off tyler's piano and tyler jumps over the piano and climbs up the side of the stage so he's looking down over the crowd (if security don't catch him first).
I LOVE how much everyone seems to have their own favorite songs off of this album. ALL the songs are loved by someone out there! Cheers for your reaction!
this is really a shame that you didn't react to the actual last song of the record, which is Paladin Strait. But overall great reaction, loved it (my fav songs are vignette and next semester)
You're absolutely right about hair shaving being a ritual. It's the thing that was also done in Car Radio and Levitate. In Car Radio (which i believe Snap Back mv is a nod to) it's a symbol of mental breakdown and a collapse of a mindset that he had for some time. In Levitate it's also about getting rid of the old way of thinking/viewing the world but more in a positive way, while joining the rebellion and the Banditos which is a whole another story :D
I don't think anyone has told you this yet, but the order of music video release is actually the exact track order of the album with the exception of The Craving (single version)
Totally loving your reactions, man!!! You’re entertaining and yep, love to watch others enjoying my favorite band! 😁 It’s really tough for me to pick a favorite, but Next Semester is middle of the pack for me, personally…. I tend to enjoy more of the eclectic mix songs over the straight pop rock/punk vibes, though! Not going to argue with you, though, you do you! They’re all great, ImO. 😅
the head shaving is definitely a thing. hes done it three times now, once every other album. its a capital T Thing. my personal interpretation is its a symbol of vulnerability.
