The song is about “dropping by” to check on your friends, even at the risk of feeling dumb… even when they tell you that they are fine. It’s better to check on them anyways, lest you lose a friend because someone didn’t check on them

The way he’s singing he’s just holding notes longer and he added a bit more echo in post production and it is beautiful Tyler has such a nice voice in every aspect that he uses it “At the risk of feeling dumb check in it’s not worth the risk of losing a friend even if they say just keep your plans you don’t have to drop anything for me” If you have suspicions that your friends may hurt them self don’t feel like you can’t ask or check in or just drop your plans to hang out with them to lift their spirits your friends life’s are more important than being wrong

So once you do more TOP discography, you'll notice that they end their albums since Vessel with heavier songs that address this topic, Truce, Goner, Leave the City, Redecorate. The peppy sound of this one compared to other album closers mirrors the video's progression of height. And, I think that's even more proof that there's a double album this time cz this would've been what the end of an album sounded like. So no worries, rabbit, Paladin Strait is a segue into the next one.... 😉 ❤|-/💛

So it was about suicide?! Ive been there before i think thats why.. ive tried jumping from tall buildings just to feel some sort of pain so i just went based off my experience

@RabbitHoleTVOfficial i'm so sorry to hear that. i'm glad you're still here. 💜 but yeah in the livestream where tyler introduced each of these videos he mentioned that the concept of this one was "escalation of height." if you isolated some of the vocals there's a layer where he's saying "i don't want anyone - know me or not - to even try stopping me..." each of the structures that he's on in the beginning, we see him lying on his back on the ground after, so that we infer that the building is the next step. the longer he goes with no one checking him, the higher the stakes are... but yeah, good eye, good catch. you were spot on right off the bat.

I always enjoy your videos and get visibly excited when you pop up on my home page after a draining day at work, you always brighten my day :), and I don't know your life only what you share but I wanted to recommend a song for you and anyone else who might need it. Easy by Imagine dragons. It is an essential in my everyday life, it just helps calm me or helps me feel better when I'm low. Also here comes a thought from steven universe is the other song that instantly calms me.
