Darcy sets up a public boxing tournament to help bond the lads even more and prove what they have learnt.

Loved 24/7 Bob Hoskins is brilliant as Alan Darcy. Another 90s British film starring Bob Hoskins is Felicia's Journey.

It got it's boost by being a traioler on some high profile flicks like Traainspotting and a good thing to. An excellent movie and ranks in the top three with Romeo Brass and Dead Mans shoes

Yes, Bob Hoskins done great playing it soft and caring for the boys. Preparing the mighty downfall scene when he beats that bully half to death near the end. Brilliantly dramatised, love it. Saw it probaly 97 in Berlin during a promo tour. Sunhouse with the late Gavin Clarke played a live set at the cinema after the movie !

Great film, although sadly it doesn't get the love like Dead Man Shoes or This is England saga gets, even A Room for Romeo Brass has build up more of a cult following over the last decade or two. And it feels a little artier then what comes after compared to his other work. Excellent performance from the late great Bob Hoskin's and black and white Cinematography with a excellent soundtrack (something Meadow's work always has).
