There's something that doesn't make much sense, Sora isn't supposed to see Neku if her isn't a player in The Reaper's Game. According to what is stated in Twewy. So... Nomura... What the actual fuck?

@@ma.2089 Probably because Calling is the more consistent song in terms of orchestration and rhythm. While I definitely would have preferred this song over the Calling Remix which I find to be worse than the original version of Calling, it makes more sense from a rhythm game standpoint.

This is the best one for sure considering it uses its synth in a supportive manner instead of distorting the vocals which are the favorite out of all the different singers

@@ventura535 it's not in the original game. I was just saying that it's weird, since TWEWY remixed it's own tracks a lot, but this is better than any of the remixes in the original game.

Hearing this song after replaying ddd made me watch the anime, im on episode 4 and its not that bad, but it'd definitely be better if they used this for the op.

Am I the only one to not seem really interested by the Neo TWEWY..? It feels so different and maybe TWEWY is too important to me...

That's fair to say considering some people have been fans of the game for 13 years or so. You'll never know how the game will affect ya til it releases. Hope you like it though! I hope I do too lol

Think of it like this: Alternate universes are part of the lore of this series. It is even involved with the backstory to the events of TWEWY. So, if the series does something you don’t like, you can just headcanon it as an AU. It’s been confirmed it’s a sequel to the anime (whether this means the events of the anime have been changed significantly or if it’s just cuz they want to use modern tech over flip phones), this means the AU aspect is basically confirmed by Nomura himself. Furthermore, the events of NEO are from the POV of the *reapers* rather than the players. This creates a ton of new opportunities to explore what would be considered the “antagonists” of the series and the world itself. As for how “different” it is, the game follows the same art style. It’s clear the ppl behind the game and the anime have a lot of respect and a lot of ppl who worked on the first game are returning.
