Hey, your comments at the end got me thinking how I also feel about their past few comebacks. I've been taking it another way but have no clue if I'm correct by any means. From what I understand, they renewed their contracts in Nov of 2022 for only 3 years. Is it possible that they're preparing Once to say goodbye? I can't put my finger on it but these recent comebacks give me that vibe. I hope I'm wrong.
TWICE is by far the only girl group that will come out with a new concept and brand new sound in every comeback and still manage to make it sound their brand is literally impressive! From typical kpop gg’s hopping on trendy sounds and more westernized music genre to appeal to general public, here’s TWICE preserving the “K” in K-Pop. I think TWICE are in a position now that they can release anything and it'll sell. Sort of like Red Velvet or Blackpink. They've transitioned into a legacy group. I don't think it's about not chasing trends or making statements. They're just making the stuff they want and don't have to worry about it not hitting. They have their fanbase for life pretty much. If they ever decide to slow down, then maybe some of that will die down, but not by a lot. Thinking about how SNSD came back randomly and didn't miss a step, I sort of think TWICE will be like that in the future.
@@GleeChanexactly! They have been choosing very safe songs as titles after their contract renewal. I think they will venture into more subunits and solos but twice will not do any drastic change in concept or sound as a group. We could also potentially see no. of twice comebacks decrease

MISAMO was sort of a given, but I think 3MIX is also an obvious choice - though you might be stacking the deck with power vocals, power vocals, power vocals! lol. I'd also like School Meal Club to make something as well. I know that Tzuyu and Dahyun would be carrying the harder/heavier vocals parts (Chaeyoung tends to sing softer than she raps), but I do think they have a diverse enough skillset amongst them to be really cool. Plus, with the three of them Tzuyu would get a chance to flex her dancing and Chaeyoung could go harder on rap parts. But I guess those three sub-units are sort of predictable.

@@fruitykrueger What? NO WAY! They are still going strong, they are all healthy (as far as I have seen), they are all stable, no problems that they have not handled before. They all Re-Upped with the company separately because none of the members could stand to leave the others hanging. The 'Seven Year Curse' was broken and that news went viral for great reason. There's no way the girls are giving up after this! It would take JYP Entertainment doing something MONUMENTALLY GODDAMNED STUPID to break them up right now.
At this point it feels like Twice is just releasing songs that are really good without having to worry in competing against 4th/5th gen groups because honestly they are on a league of their own a 3rd gen Koreas National GG who's still active after almost 10 years and releasing multiple good songs every year for their fans and people to hear. They might not win that many awards as they used to do back in the day with their comebacks now but its okay since Twice has got nothing left to prove, they already marked their place in the history as one of the best gg to ever exist. Music show awards is not a scale to measure Twice's success because they are now global artists with millions of fans around the world not just in korea. A girl group formed through a survival show became one of the best to ever exist, 9 beautiful and talented ladies who grew together which became a family despite the different personalities, a genuine bond with each other and a genuine bond with Once's who also grew up with them. Well, they are *still the most-awarded* when it comes to number of music show wins and number of _daesangs._ Also, SOTY for three years in a row? So, there’s that. And, they sell out *_stadiums,_* right? They get over a _million_ of ticket applications in Japan alone. And that’s just for two venues. This whole comeback seems to me the matured version of the Feel Special era. I like the bond that they have with fans of course, but I love when they get to express the love they have for each other, when they are more "selfish" in a way.
YES THIS! Like it feels like an extension of that era and really them telling people "we are one unit who will always be together and love one another. You try and take one of us down we are all there to support her"
Jihyo herself said that Feel Special was more about their struggles at the time, while One Spark is more about them celebrating how great they feel right now where they are
I think the reason why it gets some people so emotional is like, it feels like they've been here for a while and we watched them grow,, and jst so happy to be in this journey with them T_T
Saw on twitter someone saying that why TWICE is so different to other groups is because they never make songs addressing haters, songs bringing themselves up (which are still amazing and such a slay) But they strictly stick to making songs with a lot of love, usually showing their love for each other and their fans, showing what they will always put first and for that, I really admire them.
However, most of their songs are about friendship and relationships which makes me feel comfortable as in, they're my comfort, they're my home, they're my second family
Anyone can find a song that moves them in twice’s playlist It's like singing about your experience. The song is your story. But it's also full of positive energy. This is why once they said twice would accompany them through their lowest moments. They are not just a vitality girl group. They are also a healing girl group.
The fact that the lyrics aren’t only limited to represent TWICE’s journey, but will also resonate to other groups that’s still surviving till today through ups and downs is so amazing. TWICE deserves all the fame they got for real.

i think not many notice it but at the end of their last pose, they are closing their eyes. it's like when you feel safe and comfortable, you tend to close your eyes to really feel that comfort. and i just think that's a very heartwarming little detail 🤗❤
I'm still sensitive. I can't help but tear up everytime I watch One Spark. The details, the meaning... everything is just beautiful 🥹 The detail of the elevator numbers starting with 9 (the members) then their debut date, the day when we were named ONCE, then One Spark release date, then ending with "Timeless" melts my heart and soul. 😭🩵✨️ Also, that Jeongyeon scene looking through the aquarium and then focusing Tzuyu reminded me of their What is Love? Don't worry girl i did cry my eyes out as well. Well been once since 2016, you know how hard it was for them. Seen them going through everything and the way they achieve 0 to hero is actually pretty insane to me.. not only twice, as the fandom we also had so much things, like everyday I remember in twitter how bad those people who called haters hate them, we were trying our best to protect them and the hate was just mind blowing for the ONECS as well. But yeah we are ONCE..protecting them is one of our job , i bet every single once want the best for TWICE and i believe there will be lot more ONCEs who want to walk this journey with twice together.. You're so relatable! TWICE really has their own brand of sound and music that makes it THEIRS. The fact they keep releasing songs that make you feel empowered and protected says a lot about the message that they want to put out into the world. This is why I love and adore them

I love the elevator showing when they started as a group and then it hits this year and then timeless. It feels like they are telling the world "we are just hitting our golden days, we have found love and support in one another and this sisterhood isnt stopping anytime soon"
Don't worry, I cried too. For the first time in my life, a music video and a song made me cry. I have great respect for them and I don't want the day to come when they have to leave us. I know it will happen one day, but I watched the clip with that in mind. That's why it affected me so much.🥺
The second you said once in one spark the entire album clicked to me. I got you is about the members being together forever even after disbandment. One spark is about once and twice being together in their golden days and not lossing this excitement after many years. The entire concept of with you•th talks about the passing of twices career and how currently its their best time before they eventually slow down and disband in the many years to come and how everything still feels young and exiting and new. Hopefully Twice will last more than 14 years.
I hope TWICE can see you reaction because this sums up all ONCE's emotions with this GOLDEN COMEBACK! This comeback is so strong and it's so real that as a fan it touches my heart so bad. So proud of them and they deserve so much love and support in the word.
In my opinion, one of the things that most characterizes TWICE is the natural and pure relationship they have between the members and that they are able to transmit through their music, their videos, their concerts... Currently there are few new kpop groups (not to mention none) that have this type of links, everything looks much more artificial and forced.
I can't even imagine your reaction if you have listened to all the tracks in this album. For me it's really a bittersweet feeling -- seeing how far they have come, all the success they've been through and seeing their bond grow even stronger than ever and they are happy with each other, but then behind it all you can't shake that feeling that we are nearing the twilight of Twice and that the time will come when their journey as a group will come to an end. 🥺

One spark gave me the exact same feeling of when i listened to girls gen - forever 1, i never thought there would be any other song that could ever make me feel like that until one spark came out. The general direction/and musical aspect of the song, its hard to describe but its just so nostalgic, sentimental, with the classic twice sound. They never disappoint

What's more Kpop than a large group of young aspiring trainees coming together after getting through a survival show? Nothing really. Twice is THAT culture defining group. At this point, they are just taking a victory lap in celebration of life and togetherness. Their discography, the genres, concepts and sounds they have explored sit atop with very few of their peers. They push to the limit against what their company would allow them, all in the interest of paying us back with twice the love. My take is: they don't need to "preserve kpop" cuz they literally had a hand it defining it and will continue to do so 💯
I mean for I Got You, I remember someone said that only Twice can pull of that song, cuz their bond are so strong, If other groups were to sing this song, they won't give the same feelings and impact as them I couldn't agree more
Gurlllll, I was crying in the first 15 seconds! They serve each comeback, but there's something special about this one. Your reference to Feel Special stood out - I felt the same way!! They gave us a high-energy song, including lyrics and vocals that gives a 'nostalgic, heartachey feel in a good way' sort of vibe. This is the best birthday present I could have imagined. 'I GOT YOU' and 'ONE SPARK' is something that really connects TWICE to ONCEs despite being in the industry for several years, they manage to create a song that will show how grateful they are toward their success as a group and individually. Hence, by far the best era they've put out.
From my own perspective, 'I Got You' really seems to be the sequel to 'The Best Thing I Ever Did'. In both MVs, the Video shows that they are singing to each other as a united group but in the lyrics, they are also singing to Once. (also, the ladies were freezing cold while shooting scenes for both of those MVs, but that is beside the point...) At fan meets, people frequently tell the members that this group saved the fans from doing stupid things to themselves, possibly pulled them back from doing the absolutely unthinkable to themselves. The Hope that this group offers and sings about, and their positive message, is taken in-hand and used to change lives of fans for the better. The members get those kinds of comments a lot and that praise is well-deserved. What else could any sane person with a good soul want to do with their social platform? Their positivity is infectious and they are all hard workers or they would not be at the top of the Entertainment Industry. The world really needs them for the inspiration and for the love, and we need more people that are like them in those ways. To an extent, we do have some Groups and Soloists who are positive; XG, New Jeans, NMIXX, TripleS, Mamamoo, Red Velvet, Dreamcatcher... I hope there are more. We need more. :)
These comeback songs seem personal, like a love letter to themselves for how far they come together. This is to say, no you were not alone in getting emotional when watching these videos.

These two songs have all the sentimentality and momentousness of something like a celebratory 15th anniversary reunion song (as we’ve gotten from some 2nd gen groups). But unlike most other groups, Twice have never went away, and yet, we do still have that same sense of capital-L Legacy.

i think mainly bc it's rlly touching to see them still active as one and still going so strong. we've rly come so far and it's SO hard to see such genuine friendships and sisterhoods in today's KPOP industry. TWICE has rlly spent their youths with us, just as we did with them, and I think it feels emotional because to me, this release is kinda like a closure (?) to chapter 1 of their story before we move on to greater and better things. lots of emotions and lots of thoughts. the members themselves have also said that this is by far one of the releases that they've participated the most in bc it's just THAT personal and i think we all can feel it HAHA :')

Ive noticed a lot of ONCE are crying to this album/song. I cried when dahyun talked about the meaning of You Get Me on bubble. I love these girls so much and i hope after Vegas they get a break.
Honestly, this is a no skip album for me. It's not like it's revolutionary, but it's so enjoyable and comforting that Im thrilled. I Got You is also a contender for my top 10 songs of the year already - I adore it.
I used to be a TWICE-song lover. But now, TWICE has become a higher level in my mind, higher than BLACKPINK and Red Velvet. But this album truly touches me and brings me something emotional or something that makes me wanna cry, just as the RU-vidr said in this reaction. As we all know, many girl groups in TWICE's era have stopped their events. What these two songs bring to me is not only a sense of moving but also a sense of leaving. I think this time and decade, twice doesn't have to prove anything to anyone anymore. they're more like doing this because they really love what they're doing and they're so passionate with it. this songs are kinda upbeat but you know, this is the only song that makes you tear up knowing about their history and what they've gone through.
