Yeah considering her body type i don't think she can be stick thin like the other kpop idols even if she tried. Her body is already naturally curvy which is not common in Kpop. The judges who criticized her body type were just jealous. She is lucky to be part of the Kpop industry and also seems to enjoy what she does.
A lot of idols lose weight with crazy diets but for Jihyo I'd say this is the result of being in Twice for 8 years and always being 200% energy on stage
Also she is big into weight training and cardio exercises. Her members said that she is always in the gym on her off days for strength training. This actually encouraged me to get back into shape 😊

i typically dislike seeing idols going through weight losses but in jihyo's case it was slow and gradual, and she seemed to go on a healthy diet and gained muscle, and I'm happy for her!
I admire Jihyo so much. According to her mom, she gained weight because of the stress and struggle she was feeling. And then she shaved off her extra weight gradually instead of forcing it all at once and ended up with a very healthy and strong looking body. So proud of her ❤
that makes sense that she felt stress because JYP artists have grueling schedules and she vocally carries Twice on top of being the leader of the group. Whatever she does, I just hope she's happy and healthy. Secondary to that, if we get more entertainment from her songs/performances then all the better.

She was bullied by the fans and even professionals, it's disgraceful but I am glad she seems happier and prove them wrong. Not a once but her weightloss journey is so inspiring. Nothing too drastic but enough to show results. Hope she's happy and healthy.
@@johnszczerba9979the old photos were from 2015-2016, ofc she would obv lose weight. Its normal. And its common knowledge to know that she also said she was working out not to lose wight but also for her muscles.
People glorifies that being skinny is attractive and then when someone is being bullied for gaining weight they be like we are all beautiful in all different sizes and shapes.. the audacity
@@JugoDeFrijolsomething I have yet to see the kpop industry do. Not morbidly obese or underweight (which is the most common problem tbh). A little chubbiness or waist width ISN'T unhealthy. (Ofc with a balanced diet and good exercise) PERIOD FULL STOP.
People saying it's just twice being on stage should know better.,. People who are truly supportive of twice know all about Jihyo and the industry's pressure on her to lose weight back in the day even though she was fine just the way she was, she looks amazing now she looked amazing then, photographers and the industry were simply close minded

The good thing is even after losing weight so still looks HEALTHY! Like it wasn’t drastic that you’re worried about her health because it was a steady weight loss, as well as a gain to muscle mass so she still fills out healthily and she’s sustained it since. And given all she does and eats she does really well for herself.
She looks so beautiful in both way she doesn't need to lose some weight. Jihyo never failed to make me fall in love with her beauty and talent she's just so PERFECT ! No one can change my mind. I think she looks so much healthier n stronger and happier now tho, she didn’t just loose weight she clearly trains/works out properly and eats very well, she’s got very good physique currently that clearly didn’t come from the usual starving them idol diet
More than weight loss I feel like she just develop her adult features, she grew up. Before she looked more young and had the normal "baby face". Now she looks like a adult woman.❤
Can we also acknowledge that when these groups start out they are literally kids going through puberty and huge body changes? Alot changes when you hit 20.
I honestly think Jihyo has been one of the most gorgeous people I've ever seen since her debut. As someone born in 1992, its weird having seen her grow from this girl with so much potential, to a woman that I would walk over hot coals for :p
