@@Taiokarlo Twice wouldn't be who they are if it wasn't for the mastermind JYP. Even though he is not the CEO, he still plays a huge role in the company. He is a major decision maker within the company and he is also the company's executive producer. He is also the company's largest shareholder.

There are 2 sides to JYP, one is a father like figure to all his artists and second is his businessman side where he has to make sure he gets a lot of profit for his agency to keep the investors in good faith. On paper JYPE's worth is over a billion dollars but in terms of profits they earn very less. According to the financial statements of 2021 JYPE's profits for the 4th quarter is just $12M despite the fact that TWICE had their biggest comeback ever in that quarter with a bunch of other releases as well. This shows how unprofitable K-Pop actually is compared to big music labels like UMG, Sony, Warner, etc. As fans we only care about our favs but the agencies have to find a balance between everything. So at times they make some cost cutting decisions which might make the fans angry but it keeps the profits high and the investors happy so that the cash keeps flowing in the company which can be used for comebacks and other expenses.
