I learned earlier this week that the Swedish Power Metal grandiose Twilight Force will finally release its third album. It was obvious to dive into their stuff again and hell it was great.
The song for today is "Twilight Horizon" and it comes from their debut album "Tales Of Ancient Prophecies". This is a feel good Power Metal record, you can feel the magic. The voice of Christian Hedgren is absolutely spectacular throughout the entire album. Unfortunately he left the band after the second one.
Musically, its epic, fantasist, joyful with incredible musicianship. Indeed, the vocal is the main attraction here but there's a room for awesome guitar leads and skillful yet very melodic solo. The drum is following the parade at a high pace, nothing special but well done. I like the keyboard lines too because they had a lot to the magical feel of the songs. When you like cheesy as fuck Power Metal, you'll dig this band for sure.
