Dawn of The Dead -> People need to work together and form a new society within wall 300 -> Leonidas and his army Watchmen -> Well, that's the only film that doesn't have so much teamwork involved despite having a super-hero team. Legend of The Guardians -> Soren and his group need to find the Guardians. Sucker Punch -> Girls need to work together to escape from a terrible place. Man of Steel -> It might be Superman's origin, but it's about how two people can co-exist. Batman v Superman -> Two different men need to work together Justice League -> A group of super-heroes is born and with them a new age where collective spirit reigns. Army of The Dead -> A group comes together because of money. They all die terrible deaths except the soul who was interested in helping her immigrant friend. Rebel Moon -> Outsiders and villagers become one community. Definitely a common theme in his work, but they are all different films.

loki dosen't have 'frost giant heritage' in the original mythos. giants weren't that thoroughly classified, they were just giants. (also most of them arent even giant. giant is a mistranslation. a better translation for jotunn would be devourer)

I don't want to give you spoilers but it makes sense in context; the trailer doesn't reveal who Sigrid is or who "her people" Thor kills are; but him being angered at this wedding and murdering her people is very much in-line with his main motivation in Norse mythology

Which is weird as Loki is a Jotnar - but then we have no clear idea of what a Jotunn is supposed to look like (other than giant humanoids with blue-white skin). But then, Loki is renowned for his mastery of magic and skills as disguise - appearing like a Dark Elf could simply be a fashion choice for a dude who once changed into a mare, had sex with a celestial stallion and gave birth to a six legged horse that he later gifted as a mount to his adoptive dad.

But, end of the day, it's still adoption.

Part 2 on the other hand is pretty intense at the end of the movie, but besides that not much of a difference. Be prepared for MUCH more slowmo scenes.

@@DieNibelungenliad If you ask about Rebel Moon: Director’s Cuts then, I like that they are much better movies. I would compare the RebelVerse to the SnyderVerse. I think Rebel Moon: A Child of Fire was like Batman vs Superman: Dawn of Justice (also PG-13, btw) and Rebel Moon: Chalice of Blood was like Batman vs Superman: Dawn of Justice: Ultimate Edition. That is, a much more entertaining movie. Also, I think it’s got some horror elements, which I also enjoy because I like the horror genre and the score from the second movie, which was my favorite aspect from Rebel Moon: The Scargiver, is also present on Rebel Moon: Chalice of Blood. Particularly, my favorite aspect from the extended version was Kora’s backstory, with sequences that aren’t present on the first version of the movie, which is continued on Rebel Moon: Curse of Forgiveness. I personally prefer action sequences with gore, because it’s similar to what we got to see in 300, Watchmen, Dawn of the Dead and Army of the Dead, which is where I think Zack Snyder is best at when it comes to that. Overall, I feel the slow-motion sequences in the first movie were more enjoyable with gore and it entertains me more to watch the second movie, in this case Rebel Moon: Curse of Forgiveness, with blood and the ending also gets me more intrigued about a potential continuity for this films. We’ll see. On this trailer, well, I’ve always been a fan of animation. I really like Zack Snyder’s adaptation of 300, as well as the Greek Gods, the Atlanteans and the New Gods in Zack Snyder’s Justice League as in the case of the way he portrayed Wonder Woman in that movie, so I’m hoping to see some more of that style in this show. I also like Jay Oliva’s work on animated projects, so I take it for granted that it’s going have some quality. Looking very forward to this one.

I loved it too I was not a huge fan of the Netflix version but the Extended Cut I thought it was great really flushed out the characters and the universe something I felt the first version failed to do
