When I was young I really wanted to live in the city but when I played this game at around 10 this game really made me want to move to the country for some reason, the nature and atmosphere in this game is beautiful.
I wouldn't mind staying here once I die. Like an eternity of this would really make me satisfied and happy. I just wish the goats can actually move around on their own lol
I've always loved Ordon. Too me it represents a idyllic pastoral life. My only complaint is that it wasn't bigger. Almost all Zelda Towns until recently with breath of the wild were extremely small. Usually they each village has like 6 to 8 people and each city has like 10 to 12. What gives why so small? Hyrule is, was, and continues to be a micro-kingdom for thousands of years. What's going on here?? Where are all the farms and numerous villages that usually surround a royal capital? How are they supporting themselves??? Same goes for the Zora's, Goron's, Gerudo's, and Korok's/Kokiri. There should be multiple settlements in the areas claimed by them all surrounding a central settlement. Then again.. it's just a game so lol.
Yeah I like to think early Zelda games have locations that are symbolic of what the kingdom is supposed to be, and you're supposed to feel that Ordon village is one of many little pastoral settlements within Hyrule. Then in BOTW they have a huge kingdom but no settlements... Something I always loved about Zelda games is that every NPC is a character in some sense. They have something that makes them unique or stand out, and no one is an unnamed villager. That's harder to do in a bigger world.
That's where a lot of the theorizing comes in, which is fun. My guess would be that the population of Hyrule is always so low, and the peoples isolated from one another just enough that a population boom isn't possible. Or perhaps they have population booms and collapses in between games.
