Fun fact that nobody asked for: the pattern of the teacup on the table is Old Country Rose. I collect teacups and I like figuring out what china patterns are being used in movies and shows. This one tends to be the most common.
If you haven’t seen the show blacklist with James Spader. The creator of that show was a huge fan of twin peaks. She was on it. Along with the fireman and several other cast members. Including an FBI agent Cooper and Diane.
I think her and Major Briggs were never intended to be as important characters as they later were in the final product, but that the acting skills of their actors and their popularity have made the writers and producers reconsider

When you look back at the series the majority of the characters in that town were fruit cakes with nuts added lol but all in all it was a good series I was only a kid at the time so didn’t quite understand it
Disagreed, I mean Lynch himself wrote and put it together for the rebroadcasts. Plus they’re so cryptic they don’t spoil anything they just add to the intrigue imo
