Original Arrangement of the Yuka Kitamura composition, "Lorian, Elder Prince / Lothric, Younger Prince" from Dark Souls 3. All parts have been programmed in Cubase Pro. Instrumental parts and choir lyrics have been transcribed by ear.
Thanks so much! Totally agree - if I'm on a walk or at the grocery store listening to it I'm sure I do a subconscious maestro movement or like a crash sound under my breath that others can probably hear
I love this track. the 1:53 part in particular just feels glorious yet tragic, like it tries to reach out and hit a higher note but just doesn't make it and fails (in a beautiful way, mind you) great arrangement!
That's really cool of you to notice/appreciate that! It's no accident - a vocal detail I've been trying to work on after listening to the bloodborne soundtrack for years. There's often a singer or two shouting at the peak of their range that stands out just enough to add to the choir's overall intensity while blending in harmoniously with the group. to me it's like a dynamic overdrive effect on a guitar pushing it's speaker cabinet to it's limit. I also like to detune some individual singers by quite a bit to create a momentary dissonance before retuning with the rest of the choir.
@@voxerror I love small details like that, it's what makes composers stand out for me! I'm glad you heard it as well because it came out perfectly. I grew up in a family of musicians so I got a good ear for music, almost became one myself too, but people's eardrums exploded everytime I played the Violin lol. really wanna get back into it, though. probably as a singer this time around.
Absolutely fantastic! Igudesman really does help lend some of that "raw" power in certain parts. The amount of layering going in is also fantastic with this mix. I love it!
I hope so too and thank you very much for the encouragement! I hope more soulsborne fans get to hear them. We'll see what the algorithm thinks of the next few.
Thanks so much! I'm glad you enjoy the direction. It was kind of a tradeoff for Kitamura's beautiful exposed string harmonies like in the original. There were many rounds of pushing the intensity too far and dialing back by the time I finished and it's kind of hard to know where the fine line is. It's good to know it's working on some level though :)
I was thinking of doing "perfect loops" for the different phases of each track I post - something you don't even find in the game soundtracks (it's usually just the full mix crossfaded). What is a good length in your opinion?
Hi! I actually just made a post about it there if you want to check it out. It's mostly Igudesman Violin by Orchestral Tools. If you find that helpful be sure to leave a like / sub, could use the support. I sometimes get the feeling vi control takes a lot of this stuff for granted, unfortunately. Either way, thanks for listening!
I just fought these guys a couple of days ago, HOLY F%#@, what a fight! Had to finish Orbek's questline so I can summon him for this! I BEAT DS3 yesterday! Now, I'm just mopping up the other bosses, like Frieda, Midir, etc.! I might finish the Ashes of Ariendel DLC, then do The Ringed City. When I fought the Soul of Cinder, a BADASS Final Boss! The Four Lords of Cinder, combined into ONE, with Gwyn's Theme in it too! DS3 is SO f-ing cool!

2:37 goddamn this part is sooooo good. Can you remake the Pontiff Sulyvahn Soundtrack from the Accursed Trailer, the part with the violin? I think the souls community would really love this one.
