Is there any word of bringing the console UI into the PC version? Would be great to have for the Steam Deck. I understand its two teams, but would still be cool to see.
Stellaris was also a good PC game that was ported to console and I've put hundreds of hours in and platinumed it on ps4, so now I'm addicted to rimworld
@@ac3d657 i don't get it that how you did reach that conclusion from reading his comment. He just says he enjoyed it so much , he played it enough to be able to platinum the game. Your comment is very weird, friend.
Items are locked when you first start. Designate a zone for the items first, then press X on the items to unlock them. Now your survivors will move the items to the zone.
You can jump to each colonist by hitting down one the d pad rather than left or right and then hit X or □ depending on console type I keep hearing you say you can't, so it's just a different menu, also the menu shows their info in a different way
I know you’ve done 1 million rimworld play Throughs but is there a chance you could do a walk-through or a let’s play version? I’ve seen hundreds of videos on RU-vid but none of them actually stopped to explain why or how they do things
My biggest bug atm is the travel freeze bug where you have to restart I'm on the series s so boot up isn't a big issue aswell as the already mentioned food/clothing bug but I'm enjoying it immensely so glad this happened after my laptop died
just a question, your labtop, was it a windows update... really random i know, but ive gotten some really system breaking updates lately. and my laptop was a good gaming labtop, more than a decade ago, now i have to have 4 fans on high pointed at it to keep it cool, and no its not a dirty issue. just my potato, uh i mean laptop was I5 compareable, but you'd never know
Hey is anyone else running into a bug XBox X version where the restrictions for food and clothing keep zeroing out resulting in your pawns stripping naked at random or starving themselves? Deleting all the premade and setting up my own seemed to help for a little bit but it started up again. Am i just randomly clearing it somehow or is that a confirmed bug?
@@tlriberentzen7826 good i think AA ran into the same thing himself. Ive watched multiple people on YT play but im just now trying to learn so wanted to make sure it was a legit bug.
Anyone know how to set a work list, i try and manually make a my farmer cut down trees marked for harvesting but he’ll only do one tree then head off to a different patch rather than finish the tree right next to the one hes just cut down. The farming seem a bit sporadic and random at times. Moving from grow area to grow area mindlessly cutting crops with no real order or common sense.
On console how do you find your map seed for the map you're using? I found a map that is large hills with in the bottom corner is a crescent shaped mountain. It has a 5 tile wide opening for a chock point and entry. One way in one way out.
Ran into another bug. Manhunter packs not showing up. I save scummed because my pawn got adicted to something while set to no drug policy and now for the 3rd reload in a row manhunter pacts dont show up until half my colonists die and i have no idea where they are being attacked from.
So after a month.......what do we think. I haven't got a pic anymore as it's old as hell but I wouldn't mind having a blast on the PS5. Can someone help me change my mind to get it.
Ive played RimWorld since it released...i do not have a PC ATM. I do have xb1 and PS4...even if they figure out how to port ideology and vanilla expanded set of mods I'd be pretty happy with that. I am playing on xb1 and I fucking love it.
Sony are very nervous about allowing mods for security reasons. Microsoft have historically been less afraid, but I wouldn't hold your breath - it's pretty rare for *any* console game to support mods in a meaningful way.
@@superscatboy man that really sucks I have a pretty crappy laptop that I spent $70 buying more RAM for so I could play the game on the laptop but it doesn't play well. It would be much better to be able to play on my PlayStation but I don't think it would be worth the money if I'm stuck just playing vanilla I would probably get bored in a day or two and then just play on the PC from there.
@@CidTheDude to be honest asking the porting team if possible might be a good idea. If they find out there is a demand, i am sure they will try to add mods. I remember unreal 3 on ps3 had mods and skyrim and fallout has mods on consoles as well so i think, there is a possibility. Hopefully they do it , i also wait for mod support.
I would love to see a full playthrough, themed or otherwise! I'm almost shocked that there isn't much on YT in the way of full playthroughs from the console version yet. I get it, no mods and all that but WHO CARES!? The base game is fantastic as it is!!
While I agree that it's a silly argument, I also think it's silly to suggest you need to spend anywhere near $2000 on a PC to play Rimworld. A laptop that costs less than a console would easily handle it.
@@pondy6876 No your point doesn't still stand lol. I spent 799 on a PC for a friend I know and he can run most games on 60 fps (not max settings arguably). Your point doesn't still stand. If you're the type of person to buy a PS5 (lmao) then your point crumbles even further than it already did. And it's not JUST to play video games, that's what people like you fail to realise. You can do MUCH MUCH more than "just play video games", compared to the overpriced, underperforming PS5 that allows you to pretty much ONLY play games. You can browse the web, but oh god is the UX absolute trash.
@@tatsunithelennyking2540 My point was that I didn't like the argument of buying a PC to play Rimworld just because of playing it on console with peripherals. It was about what AA said. My point isn't about PC vs consoles lol
Games like this, Stellaris, Tropico and civ aren't as good on console. They are so much better with mouse and keyboard. I haven't tried using a mouse and keyboard on console yet so they could be better if you do
