I drive big rigs and I encountered that storm. I was heading west from Indiana toward WA and was looking at the weather radar. Ended up taking I-94 through MN and ND because SD looked even crazier. I pulled over at a truck stop in Minnesota around the same time that Rob was filming this video because the wind was throwing me around and it was about that time I had to take a rest. After the tornado warning was lifted, I began driving and saw multiple wrecks being recovered. Some truck cabs were completely smashed. Thank God, I didn't take I-90 because the area south of me got hit even worse with multiple tornadoes touching down + hurricane like winds. I read that one person died and multiple injured. God bless you all. Stay safe out there.
Thank you for the hard work you do every day, truck drivers are the backbone of our economy and without them we'd have nothing. Glad you made it through safe and God bless you on the road ahead.
@@wendypierce7611 Thank you. May the Lord protect your husband in every part of this country. And for all of your family including yourself, I pray that you are always blessed.
I’ve been working in South Dakota for almost a year now, fortunately I was at home in the South when the storms came through here. My apartment complex took a beating but nothing too serious.
Between the jackery and starlink internet, my youtube channel is going to be running so much smoother now. Its pretty cool having high speed internet in northern bc and have a quite generator to power my holiday trailer. Hopefully i can meet up with you when youre going through Fort St. John. Would love to meet you guys. Take care and safe travels!
I witnessed the Hackleburg-Phil Campbell tornado back on April 27, 2011. The eerie stillness before a large, violent tornado like that one is insane. God bless you Rob!
Wow! I've been there, done that. Many years ago, I was in Ames Iowa and staying in a motel, might have been a Quality Inn (I don't remember). That night the storm warning siren went off. A tornado was heading toward Ames. I got up and got dressed and went in search of "the Basement." Well, there was no such animal on that property, but what they did have were two steel & concrete stairwells, one at either end of the long, 1st floor hallway. The stairwells ran down into a concrete hole that was nearly a full story deep, with carpet and benches beneath the staircase. I picked it as the likeliest place to hunker down. I had gotten in there when I heard a woman and her 3 children, a panicked edge to their voices. The mother was decrying the lack of basement. I called out to them, but mom had no idea where my voice was coming from so I popped up and directed them into the hidey hole. As they were coming an older couple came into the hallway and asked her if she knew where the cellar was, so she directed them to our shelter. I've never been able to unpack my bag for a motel stay so when I sought "shelter from the storm" (apologies to Mr. Dylan) so I had a cool little flashlight which could be configured to serve as an electric candle and a gallon Zip-Loc bag of this delicious trail mix, which I shared, to the delight of the kidlets. Before long the all-clear sounded and we all went about our business. Glad y'all came through it as well. Green Lights. Blue Skies. Stay safe out there.
Been watching for years Rob you are a great man/dad and I admire how caring and giving you and your family are.. Can’t wait to see some videos in Alaska safe travels brother
Hey it was great meeting you guys! It's Kali from McDonald's. If you ever stop in Jamestown again come say hi. I'm there 6 days a week. Good luck on the rest of your adventure!
My Jackery Explorer 240 will run my CPAP machine for two full nights if our power goes off, or we end up camping somewhere with no power. I can't afford the solar generator panels, but it comes with wall charger and car charger, and that's all I need for my circumstances. Also, it's cheaper and more versatile than the one I might have bought from the CPAP machine company. Excellent, responsive customer service, also.
Rob , you and Sara have came a long way. I’ve been watching since you first started your channel. And … I’ve been eating Everglades seasoning on just about everything! 😂 It’s great to see all your hard work you and Sara have done has given you guys such a great life. Keep up the great videos Rob, and Sara
Big ups from Australia, we even watch your ad's down here. All our love to you, your beautiful family and other DMD YT viewer's. Rob your sincerity in a world where human beings are finding it harder by social manipulation to do just that is what is very , VERY special bout your channel mate.
You seem to be straying away from the good ol deermeatfordinner style that attracted everyone here and went to a straight up sell out infomercial channel. Happy you’re making the big bucks though, you’ve definitely worked hard for every cent you’re making. Stay safe out there man
Rob #1 safety is the most important thing on the road. I use to ride and drive over the road. When I was younger I was went with my uncle when I first got my CDL License working with him doing longhaul trucking. We were going through Kansas at the time. We actually had to stop under a bridge of a interstate highway and actually go up in the rafters of the bridge because of a tornado. We were lucky it passed by us and missed us by maybe a little more than a mile away. I'm not going to lie I was young at the time and it scared the living hell out of us. Brother be careful out there. Being from the eastcoast we didn't know what to do at the time. We were lucky that we also had a Kansas state Trooper there with us that also pulled over under that bridge and told us what to do. We have to give credit to our first responders out there. They stay out there in that danger to make sure people are safe. I know for myself that as crazy as I've been in my life. I would never have the balls to do what they do in situations like that. And I've done some extremely crazy stuff in my life. But brother stay safe safe travels on the road. This was a great video showing the power of mother nature. Most people actually don't have a clue just how much power nature has until they find it out for themselves. Get video as always. Keep them coming and God bless you Sarah the girls and your crew. Stay safe Brother.
Hey deermeatfordinner I’m a big fan and look up to you. I would love to see longer videos of your trip if that is possible. I would really appreciate and thank you.
God bless rob and his family. Keep them safe from anything that steps in there way. Thank you rob and Deer-mom you all are to cool. How did it feel to sit and wait. Must be scary to come a upon a storm like that. Wow had me at the edge of the sit wow.
I like how everyone goes out to see the storm or stand by windows. I do. It’s too tempting not to. Glad you all are ok. Oklahoma weather is just like that when the big storms come rolling through. You want to run towards and away at the same time.
DMFD you can’t please everyone and certainly not complaining love your channel but really miss the old content. At the ranch, giveaways, winning a trip to the ranch, management of your property, local hunts and fishing trips. One person opinion. God bless
😇 I have just had a similar experience on holiday in the black sea Towards the Ukraine Sitting down in a bar looking up my laptop looking at my laptop and looking at what you're up to Whether you are fishing or hunting Or give Good a voice One week ago On holiday We had fighter planes Flying so low They almost took the roof of the bar we were in And the engines road like a thunderstorm And shut the whole turn on Believe me that is an experience Plus the fish were not boarding And too many tiddlers The closest I can to really do fish was in a restaurant And the lobster door was brilliant Thanks for taking the board Away when I'm on holiday in the sun Between Bulgaria and Romania Then Ukraine 🇺🇦 😀 😉 👍
Thank God you all are safe and sound. Tornadoes are one of the most powerful destructive forces on earth and they have no mercy! Please have a safe test of your vacation and may God Bless you all while traveling!!😀🙏🐎
Teaser keep working hard with ur child. Dearmeat just acknowledge what ur boy goes through means alot too him. He doesn't always have time pat him self on the back and over time his love ones might forget how hard it is .
Rob, I absolutely love this channel, and so thankful your family are ok, but turning this harrowing experience into an informercial seems in poor taste. Best of luck on the Big Roll.
@@MrRobinOlsson Well that's just flat out mean. It takes tons of work to do what this family has accomplished, and folks reap great entertainment from it. You should unsubscribe so your days go better.
@ Robin Olson I got a right hand filled with Sunshine ☀️ Rainbow 🌈 and Thunder ⚡️ that says The LORD God Almighty in Heaven is indeed very real. And in The LORD’s perfect timing, He is gonna show you the power of His LOVE.
