Gulfcraft Touring 36' with Yanmar Turbo Diesels and Hamilton Jets, leaving Feydhoo in Addu Atoll. Sorry for the lack of good scenery, I was sitting quite uncomfortably, and at that speed, it's difficult to think of anything else:P
You can't kill a damn yanmar. 6ly2, 6ly3, 6by (bmw block) 8lv (Toyota block) and the GM series sailboat engines are all tanks. I've seen yanmars at over 3-4k hours and they still start up and hum like a finely tuned chorus. I had a 6ly2 catch fire one time in the electrical harness, extinguished the flame wired some mechanical gauges up and off we went. I had a 3GM filled up with water. Yanked the injectors out and water was gushing out of the cylinders. Pumped it all out and it fired back up, and runs like a bat out of hell over a year and a half later.
Yeah i know. I've driven a 12m, 500hp yacht at 40 Kts and it's not what you call a smooth ride... LOL! Anyway, nice footage and love the audio quality. Turbo Diesel FTW!
