I agree. Alicia shows that she lives by the motto "keep calm and carry on". I love how she is teaching her daughters how to eat properly with their utensils, and she always encourages them to be independent in feeding themselves. I think that's the best gift any parent can offer their child...the gift of independence.
I agree she is a wonderful calm mom, s b e should have classes or something on here to talk and teach moms this, some are really impatient and other stuff. And yes Guin is the comedian Ana is the checker outer of food etc, beautiful angels. Hope we all get to see them grow up.❤❤
I thought I heard Ana say her name, Ana! when she saw her reflection in her spoon. I've noticed that Anastasia often times attempts to engage Guinevere; however, Guinevere is uninterested, so Anastasia simply carries on doing her own thing or engages with her parents.

When Alicia looks back at this recording, she’ll see what took place. I think Ana was sweet, during all the fuss, when she tried to distract or make Guin happy by pointing at the elephant. Some days can be a challenge with toddlers. ❤❤
Yes, your right on the money. Ana seems to be content with figuring things out and proceeding, while Guin's emotions are more immediate. I think it's wonderful seeing the differences in the twins personalities. One more rational and the other more emotive! Vive la differance!
I don’t think Gwin’s feelings were hurt; she was MAD at Ana-even tried to hit her. I thought Ana was trying to help by distracting Gwin, which was so sweet. I thought their little spat was adorable!! And Alicia, you handled it perfectly as always! I’m sure they will have plenty of little spats during their childhood, but they obviously love each other, and will always be there for each other, I’m sure. With such parents, they can’t go wrong!
I'm blown away with Ana's emotional intelligence, seems to me she was attempting to calm G down, good intervention. G didn't like it hence the tears, but in the years to come she'll be confident in the knowledge that Ana will always have her back 😊 Just love these two ❤
I think Gwen didn’t like being told what to do. But wasn’t Ana a doll trying to make her feel better. Mom, I think the spoon and fork were both too big. They seem handle the shorter ones so welll. Excuse me for adding my 2 cents. You do so well in developing their understanding which is showing intelligence developing that surprises me!!!! Are they loving the Christmas tree? And lights? It's only natural that there will be moments of drama. Those are the teachable and learning moments that are so valuable. Mama, you do a wonderful job of staying unperturbed by any tearful episode. You're wonderful at that. You did great to hold on to your instruction that it's either fork OR spoon. The girls are growing up so splendidly.
Ana said "Mama sit " during G crying spell, the look on Ana's face was like " I don't have time for this nonsense, lets leave G to cry by herself", then the look on G Face was Priceless 😂😂😂 Adorable little girl's.

Ana is more of an easy going personality. She doesn’t make too much of a fuss about anything. She figures things out on her own. Gwen seems to like it when she asks for help and gets mom or dad to help. Don’t know what caused all the tears. All Ana did was point to the elephant on Gwen’s bib & she screamed. I guess we just don’t know with toddlers when the mood changes. These two are so cute together, never know what a morning will bring. Sending love to you all❤

I agree. I think Ana was simply trying to distract Guin, so she wouldn't be impatient waiting for Alicia to clean the fork. However, once Ana told Guin no-no-no she clearly didn't like it and the waterworks started. Guin's big, beautiful eyes turned into giant pools of tears. I knew her tears were all ado about nothing, because Ana didn't seem too concerned about her. I've noticed from viewing other videos that the twins are really attuned to each other's emotions and can tell the difference between tears brought on by true pain and just another toddler meltdown. It's amazing to see!

I think Ana was trying to tell Guin to look at her reflection in the spoon when Guin had her melt down. Ana had turned her spoon several directions to see the reflection. I thought it was precious and have watched it lots of times.
I'm curious. Why can't the girls have a fork and spoon at the same time? Chances are they see mom and dad with a fork and knife or a fork, knife, and spoon and are trying to emulate them.

When I first started watching your channel, they had just started chattering. Anastasia was more talkative and more active. Now she’s the quieter one. Funny how they change. I love these videos. Every night my husband will ask, “are you watching the babies eat?” 😂
The water works from Gwenivere just cracked me up. That lower lip pout is exactly what my daughter would do. Then when her daddy walked in she was all smiles. Gwen is such a comedian. Anna just rolls with punches. Can’t start my day with out checking in

So much to love in this video...from the exuberant "hi' from both Ana and Guin at the very beginning to the interesting little twin argument in the middle and their little plates cleared of chicken soup dumplings at the end that proved they were a definite hit with the girls! Beano's "bunnies" (our word for farts growing up) and Ana trying to distract Guin from being impatient waiting for Alicia to clean the forks had me laughing. It was also sweet seeing Ana and Guin react to the chiming of GG's grandfather clock, too! 💜💗

I caught that, too - LOL! Guin is determined to have things her way...from using both a fork and spoon at once to eating only the morsel of food she chooses regardless of what Alicia offered her on the fork. All I can say is ooofff...Guin is a real firecracker!

Ah - the little twins had a bit of a set-to today bless them 🥰🥰 Lots of interesting comments from people - some saying not to over analyse etc but many views and the common thread that everyone adores them and want to understand every nuance in behaviour. A viewer pointed to 9.35 and it was interesting to go back and rewatch.My take is that Ana may've been telling Guin off along the lines of 'chill out sis, the fork is coming, stop repeating your request' or something along those lines in 'twin-talk' but Guin took genuine umbrage. I think their spat did upset little Guin because she took time to recover from it . 12.30 and Ana asking what Beano was doing was so cute - such a little personality! Fascinating to watch things unfold and good that people here can express their ideas and 'take' on things in a respectful and inclusive manner. Alicia you did a great job in diffusing the situation and not escalating things by getting into a battle with Guin when she was already feeling unhappy after her spat with Ana. Beautiful girls who are loved by many 🥰🥰❤❤

I notice Guin says no a lot lately. Perhaps she’s getting an early start on being a two-year-old. Her expressions are so precious. Ana just kinda rolls along and had such feminine little hand gestures. I can see her getting her nails done and admiring them.
Many times, Guinevere will say no and then do whatever she's saying no about. She said no to the dumpling when Alicia tried to feed it to her. Then, just a moment later, she tried to feed it to herself, taking it off the fork. They are so cute. Their personalities are really starting to show.

I just think Guinevere is a sensitive child. That's allowed, isn't it? We are all different. Anastasia meant no harm either. You handled the situation beautifully Alicia. The twins are so blessed to have you and Walt as parents.

I think it was Anna ( unintentionally ) SHOUTING at Gwyn that made her cry. I am a Brit, so please can you explain the thinking behind (1) Trying 2 cut something with a SPOON, instead of a knife : though I'm not suggesting that the GIRLS be given knives ! (2) What is the thinking behind the either/or principle regarding fork versus spoon : what is the reason why they cannot have both ?
The dumplings were soft enough to cut with a spoon. I didn't precut them because they are filled with broth and I wanted the girls to experience that texture. I don't let them have both fork and spoon at the same time anymore because they just play with them❤❤
I enjoy most when when they are looked at by our audience as the adorable duo through every interaction rather than assigning personalities to each. Life happens soon enough to divide…..

It was so sweet of Ana how she tried to calm down Gwen . Gwen seems to be very out spoken . I think as they get older Gwen will be very protective of Ana , and Ana will be the calmer one and the peace maker 😊😊
It's a learning lesson to see how the girls food preferences lean. Very individual. And Gwen trying to get both utensils is funny. Their little brains are learning how to control all the time. It's a joy to see them talking. And still using some of the sign language. Love it. You are a good mom to these active little girls. Dada too.

Anastasia seems a little ambidextrous, she eats with both hands...I noticed that from time to time she does little choreographies with her two well-coordinated hands at the same time

I have to admit that I was thinking why not give Guin both the spoon and fork to eat with? I honestly think I would have given in just to keep the peace, but then I quickly realized that Alicia was simply trying to teach her daughters how to eat properly using their utensils...another great teaching moment that Guin will thank her Mama for when she gets a bit older and understands.

She was saying "ah me" which is what she says instead of "give it to me" and Ana was not going to give it to her and said no, rather forcefully, which made Guin cry. Then Ana tried to diffuse the situation by pointing to the elephant on Guin's bib, but Guin's feelings had been hurt do she rejected Ana's attempt to reconcile. I just love watching the twins and mama's patient way of teaching!
I'm glad you figered it out, it soundec like Ana was yelling at Gwen, it was over a spoon, mom wanted them to kiss and make up, Gwen wanted no parts of it.I felt bad for Gwen.
I think Ana got tired of Guin saying ‘and me’. 😂😂. Poor Guin took offense to it. Then Guin wouldn’t let her sister kiss her. Then Ana told Guin off again. Finally, Ana tried to be the peacemaker with the pointing to elephant on Guin’s bib.
Click, click, click, click, click. You always know when Beano is in the kitchen because that's all you can hear! He must have long nails. haha. Ana is so helpful to her sister and is puzzled when Gwen cries about it. You can definitely see their different personalities emerging. BTW, I would have taken away Gwen's spoon after you told her she couldn't have it if she also had a fork. Seems like she may think your rules (you have great ones, I think) aren't enforceable and she can just cry to get what she wants.
Oh my! Anastasia is so like her Mom! When Guinevere got upset, she tried to redirect to something more pleasant - the elephant on her bib! So sweet! Good teaching by example! She didnt mean to upset & tried to soften things. Guinevere's exuberance matches her Dad's & she can be so funny so much of the time. I love this age - so much is going on inside their heads. It isn't easy, but it's so worth it to guide them through with love & patient persistence. You are so good at being lovingly firm!
