This! MLB highlights miss way too much, after always showing first inning complete. Then they don’t show much critical action later. NBA does its highlights much better.

Doval has been making the 9th inning a nail biter when it does not need to be one too many times. He's a CLOSER, getting runners on and blowing leads, I'm sure, is not written anywhere within that job description, lol. We all want to see our Giants win and do good, but there's times when you gotta cut ends. Either that or get him off the closer roll for a while. In my opinion, Tyler Rodgers is way more consistent. It's not like this is his first or second time blowing the lead. He has been habitual with it to the point where the Giants need to stop overlooking it.

We don’t know what the front office is looking at, we don’t get to see them work. But they’re certainly working harder than us at it. What do you even mean by cut ends? Trade him? Who wants a broken closer? You claim he’s broken so who wants that? Release him? So then another team swoops in instantly and he ends up fixing himself with that team and becomes THEIR future closer. All because the fans got impatient with his development. Then who replaces the guy that replaces him? Who in our minor leagues do you like to come up? Who on our 40 man? Because we can’t swap someone off the 40 man or else we’d lose ANOTHER guy. Then our minor leagues are promoting to higher leagues inorganically to fill roster spots. Or you sign some old nobody like 4 million like Rich Hill. That sometimes works but rarely does it a truly effect a team reaching the postseason. Once you start gutting the roster because they’re not an immediate value, you lose your developing core. And you can only replace them by purchasing free agents, which, if theyre minor leaguers sucks because they’re FA but not in the majors? Weak. Or a risky signing like Melancon or having to shop heavily like our FO has been doing last few years, to little avail. We already tried Ty Rogers in the closing role and he sucked. Fans were flaming him even harder than Doval. Sometimes the play is to be patient and wait for players to snap out of it. In a 162 you have to. If this was our running back fumbling every week while we chase a super bowl, yeah you’d get rid of that guy. That’s not what’s happening yet. Did you think of all these things?

I was laughed at last year when I said Doval was overrated and he wasn't as good as people thought because he was still an "all star." Doval has either gotta go or leave the closer role. We can't trust him to shut the game down

@E_alvarad0 Thank you. I have to agree with Doval potentially leaving the closer role. Personally, Tyler Rodgers is way more consistent in my opinion to fill that if need be, at least for the time being.
