What a crazy finish to this 3rd game of the series. The game should have been over in the top of the 9th.....oh well. Thankfully, the good guys in the CLE City Connect uniforms won and sweep the series!!! Great catch by the unknown lady in the right-center bleachers to catch Guards' 2B Andres Gimenez' HR ball. And finally.....the real Tanner Bibee (Cleveland SP) showed up pitching 7 strong innings, with Skipper Vogt having the confidence in Bibee to strike out Santana to end the 7th inning. Go Guardians!!!! 😃⚾⚾⚾
After the game, they had to get some back x-rays on Will Brennan to make sure he didn't hurt himself from carrying the Guardians. But I guess he had to make up for last night's finish. Lol
That blown save is not on Clase. He got the ground balls needed. Naylor has to throw to the bag and not the pitcher. That's 1B 101 🤷♂️ luckily The Birdman made them pay for walking Naylor to get to him.
First of all, the Rocchio-Giminez double play was sweet, but Alomar and Vizquel are saying "Sostenga mi cerveza." Second, there is no excuse for misspelled names in the captioning.
Those Nike eye sore cash grab 'City Connect' tacky softball uniforms are awful. I know a lot fans and the team like them. I never liked the braiding stripes down the side of jerseys. Not when they were in Cleve Municipal Stadium which is why they did this. Not when they were in the movie Major League. Never liked them on the Phillies either. Ever since they moved into Jacob's Field etc they've had great-looking uniforms. Then this happens. And then you'll say well don't watch the game. I say you're right I can't lol Good to see the Tribe I mean the Guardians dong well so far.
We went to the game Saturday night. Judging by the 40-deep line of people waiting to get into the team shop to buy those "tacky softball uniforms", I'd say you are in the minority. Personally I like them, but everyone is welcome to their own opinion.
Beginning to think that Rocchio needs some course correction back at AAA. He simply doesn't have the bat to overcome his idiocy on the field. Whether it's bad base running, nearly hurting your own teammate in CF because you're trying to catch a ball 100 feet into center field when it's his play, or moronic plays like in the 9th inning today. He's a problem.
Nah. He has nothing else to prove in AAA. Also, he is normally a plus defender, and the only way to learn is by making mistakes. And even though Buxton should have been called out on that play, I can guarantee you that Roccio won't do that again.
@@no-hr3cv this is a super underrated take! “The only way to learn is by making mistakes” fans want to see a guy come up and be perfect all the time but baseball is all about failure.
Ah, so hard to say what to do with Naylor, throw to third or home plate, I would of thrown it to home plate automatically then have the catcher run to third and bam, would been game over. But hey, we did it on bottom of the ninth game winning walk off home run and Tom Hamilton the best play by play caller in all of Baseball! what a game! great pitching by both sides.
Definitely should have thrown to the plate. The runner was two-thirds of the way there, and practically standing still. Worst-case scenario (barring a throwing error) is that the runner ends up back on third and you have another chance to get that 3rd out before the Twins score. It was a boneheaded play, but I love Josh Naylor all the same.
