Great hacks. I’ll have to try the damp roots. I’ve used CR Almond Jai Twisting Butter but didn’t like it because my lo po los density hair comes us out looking piecy. I’m excited to try it. Thx 👍🏽😊
I already do all of your hacks, the only thing that I can add is that I always oil my ends when untwisting to prevent frizz and moisturize and oil when retwisting before bed. This keeps my end healthy and I can keep the ssk’s and my ends trimmed.
The leaving hair damp technique is how I get my Tracee Ellis Ross fro. I do a braid out on soaking wet hair, leave it overnight, take it out while it's still wet and let it air dry throughout the day and it gets fluffier as it dries.
Great video girl I loved it I'm definitely going to try out that bobby pin hack that you use to pin your roots to dry I only take my two strand twist down I'm ready to do it
Yess im here for the twist out tips! The tip about putting bobby pins on the roots after twisting always gave me the best results..lately Ive been lazy with doing that. 😅 Your hair looks good as always💕
I love these hacks!! Especially the one about not letting the roots dry all the way. I actually have gotten good results unraveling twists, letting it dry in the unraveled state, and then separating and fluffing. 👍🏽😁
Finally Amber, when you say fine hair I’m not sure if you are referring to the diameter of each hair strand or the total quantity of hair strands on your head (or both). I have fine strands but very high density. I can’t think of many RU-vidrs who address this combo.
I've kept my hair in plaits all summer, with the exception of an occasional bun or low puff. My favorite combination in this order: Jane Carter Solution Leave in Curl Smoother, Creme of Nature Coconut Milk Mousse, and Eden's Kids Berry Smooth Curl Creme. Thank me later cousins!
Hey Cuz, yes I use hack 4 and that helps tremendously with squeezing the oil into my strands👌💕. I’m so happy that test section is cool, but I thought about it . Your hair is extremely healthy girl👏👏. Thanks for the great tips 😊💃🏾
I hate frizz! 🙄🙄🙄 It’s the top, front, & middle part of my hair that does that. Those are also the places where my hair is harder to curl or has a different curl pattern especially when I’m doing a finger coil. 😩😩 Your hair is very pretty.
I don’t have a go to product for twist out just because my hair is normally a wash n honor a wig 😩 I stopped doing twist outs / braid outs because they always come out frizzy
Last night I used creme of nature creamy oil moisturizing hair Iotion, regular hair oil and my denman brush but I did flat twist all over my hair which I thought was impossible to do.
How do you know what to trim...Do you trim your own hair? If so do you trim when its curly or straight...I usually do twist then trim the ends, but is that enough? thanks for all your videos and helpful info
Love it! ALL of it! Like you cousin, I'm a wash n go girl and don't do twist-outs often at all. Probably once maybe twice a year. But, this video makes me wanna do one soon just to utilize some of these here good hacks you done shared with ya cousins! Thanks love! 😉🙌🏾
@@carmenthomas5123 I heard u can use the conditioner as a deep conditioner also but I can't try it because it doesn't have protein in it, and my high porosity hair loves protein. But im definitely getting the leave in and twisting souffle
@@vee3133 I have high porosity as well . What deep conditioners do you currently use ? My fav is Shea Moisture JBCO Strengthen & Restore Treatment Masque .
Cousiiiiiiiiinnnnnnnn.... lol do you know a lightweight product for twist outs because from just leave in and butter or cream I get insane crunch when I take down until the next day and my hair dries out by the end of day 2 even when I seal with oil. I don’t get that with braid outs which is troubling. I really want to master a twist out please help sis.
I just learned how to do wash n go’s, I normally do twist and braid outs. My key to a great duo would be a nice milk for the leave in, use a butter or nice thick cream then a small amount of gel just to hold it, but not take away from the softness. I also deal with oil too. I really love the As I Am double butter cream, the Maui moisture vanilla bean butter.
No matter what I do they never hold and come out frizzy even with gel my hair is like NAH SIS someone told me to try bigger sections and amazingly thay held long enogh to get to work.... Then poof😂, braids hold so much better so I'm glad I learned how to cornroll.
Maybe the people saying twist outs never work should try it on an old wash n go. Like day 3 or 4 and only dampen the hair so it’s workable but still dries the next day. I also desperately need a trim by I don’t want to lose my length! Lmfao #thestruggle
