Twist Out tutorials never worked for me- and I've been watching these for YEARS. My hair was just too thin and my curls never held the twists well. So I found a way to do my own modification on a "twist out" that works for the 3A Hair type. I hate the braid out so i twist the bottom side and make it a two big buns But this is good idea for wavy curly hair

Girl. I literally never even thought of that before. We have a similar curl pattern. And I have tried twisting my hair and it was hard to keep them in, I made sure to use a good bit of product and a twisting specific product that helped. However, i do not get much definition or much from twists. Now yesterday I did a little quick braid out with five braids on each side and my hair was still damp when I took the braids out because I had somewhere to be, but it was still a look. I liked my elongated curls. And I do not know how to flat twist, but I’m going to give it a try because I wish for volume, but my hair is pretty relaxed and on the flatter side usually… I’m accepting it now. But I love this idea honey!! I’m about to watch you mini twist video because I need to see what’s up! I did something similar and wished it looked more cute than it did. I’m here for it!

This is GORGEOUS!!! I noticed mine doesn't hold twists and get the straight gnarly bits, then feel defeated because my natural air dried hair looks better than the twists 🤣💜. I'll try this. I want a more wash and go style cuz two kids and a full house I never have time for my hair. Thank you!! Edit: omg is that a cello?! I promise I'm not stalking LOL I'm just a musician too 🤣💜

@@RachelGrayM it did work! I forgot to update about that. I did the flat twist at the scalp and braids at the ends and it worked really good. I must've not used enough product last few times but this time it was perfect.

@@RachelGrayM I did my twists and slept in them. And this morning I untwisted them and they look good! For the first time I'm pretty shocked. I use cantu products and now that I feel like I know what I'm doing I think next time will be even better (I'm half Sicilian and half Jewish). Thank you so much! ❤️❤️❤️❤️

For low porosity hair, is substituting the coconut oil for a leave-in for the unravel process alright? Trying to hard to figure out how to do this. Also, how do you protect the braids at night? Do you just sleep on them? Amazing braid advice, I can't wait to see if my hair likes it. Thank you!!

I don't do anything special to sleep with them. As you can see my hair was a mess when I woke up the next morning, and it's very comfortable :)
