I think she got a bacterial infection in the neck, that caused a build up of fluids, that in turn put pressure on the spinal cord (or maybe inflammation cause swelling, that pinched the spinal cord), causing pain and paralysis. the antibiotics stopped the infections the anti inflammatory medicine helps the spine to heal and reduce the swelling. dogs with non-traumatic spine injuries can recover enough to have a pretty normal life but it takes time.

I love this vet. He seems to be the kindest man ever. And the puppy's owner, who has so many worries, seemed like such a sweet pea! When both she & her mother teared up, I just wanted to give them each a big hug & tell them everything's going to ok (eventhough I have no idea...) 💜💜

I am so happy this cute dog is well on its way to a much better quality of life with continued therapy. I was completely impressed with the vet and particular therapys used to determine specific diagnosis, or group of symptoms responsible for the current state of the dog. It is disappointing, in the US, to hear put them down. I hope the dog will continue to improve.

My 13 year old dog experienced something similar to this. His hind legs were paralyzed and he lost all urinary and bowl control. We took him to the emergency veterinarian and they weren’t sure what the cause was exactly. He was prescribed various medications including antibiotics, and in 12 days he was able to walk again and regained all his functions. Don’t give up hope. Fighting Gongju! 💜

It's called vestibular syndrome it can happen to older dogs most of time goes back to normal but sometimes its permanent. I've treated my older dog with dramamine when he had them come on .

Vestibular syndrome is like vertigo . Look up other videos with vestibular you'll see variations of conditions every dog that has it .

It looks like veterinary care is much more advanced in south korea. Veterinarians in the U.S are only interested in how much money they can extract from desperate pet owners. And they probably wouldn't know how to treat dogs in that kind of condition.

Que rara enfermedad, mi perrita también le paso lo mismo, la llevamos al veterinario y nos dijeron que sufría de epilepsia. Ahora esta bien. Ojala que la perrita del video se recupere por completo y su mama también . De verdad es angustiante verla asi, Dios quiera no le vuelva a pasar.

This Shih Tzu doggo got a virus or some condition that caused it to be in this condition. Gongju (princess in Korean) got its neck twisted somehow and can’t move anymore. SBS TV in South Korea pays for these operations, it is the parent channel foe Kritter Klub. Vets usually donate their services when cases are at their toughest.
