Thank you for showing the prep. Many vloggers skip that step, but it's so important. Mousse and salt spray (and hair spray) are pretty much the only things that will allow me to do an updo.

That L-shaped curling iron makes so much more sense than the typical bar style. How did someone not think of that before now?

it sucks this doesnt really work for natural dark hair :(... the dimensions and contrasts of colored tones are everything.

Is the mousse and curling iron really necessary? It says the hair is curled for movement but then it's pinned to the head. I feel like there's no need to put heat on my hair if I'm just going to pin it to my head but maybe that's just me. It's beautiful look and I'll definitely try it out sans the blow dryer and curling iron.

Wat is the spray in beginning

All that work in the beginning is time consuming and not needed. You can get the same look with powder play by sexy hair and some hair spray. Other than that, this updo will hold up. I don’t know why people don’t think it will. I do wedding hair and do these all the time. Just bobby-pin like hell

Das funktioniert bei dunklem Haar nicht, da die Strähnchen in diesem blonden Haar den tollen Effekt erzeugen. Ich hab es probiert und davon mal ab das es nach nichts aussah, fiel es ziemlich schnell in sich zusammen. Für Menschen mit sehr dicken Haaren ist diese Methode mit den pin's gar nichts, leider.

why why why are you doing anything at first to create volume, only to in the next step straighten it out?

Only easy if standing behind. This is not very easy to do on one’s self.
