Yeah no kidding. I honestly can't think of any (main) Disney animated villain that is even close to what the conventional standards of beauty are, outside of the Evil Queen from Snow White (whose beauty is literally a plot point) and Hans from Frozen as it helps in the misdirection aspect of the film's plot. Well they made/produced/dubbed Ponyo, The Secret World Of Arrietty, Castle In The Sky, Princess Mononoke, Spirited Away, Sitch, Howl's Moving Castle, Kiki's Delivery Service, Fireball, and My Neighbor Totoro. So it's not really surprising to me.

In fact the Disney Channel star Bridget Mendler from Good Luck Charlie was the voice dub of Arrietty in the movie. I even saw a trailer preview and interview about it on what was Canada's Disney Channel before it came to Canada as well.

It would be VERY surprising if the protagonist ended up being female. Plus, Yama Toboso seems to prefer male leads for her works and she wrote for this story so that would explain it.

Maybe it's because the idea of using this in anime form was more natural to the idea of villains in the human form attending school? I mean the artist is the person who even drew a psycho with a chainsaw pretty natural in sharp teeth and slightly wild movements. I hate to admit, but they picked the right person for the job. Twisted characters in a more human form.

I’m so exited that this has finally been approved to get an anime series. 😉✌🏻The production team is AMAZING!!! 🤩😌 It’s definitely going to be a great series. Al principio no entendía nada del juego pero después lo jugué y 1000/10 cada día mas enamorado de personajes 2D :,) Malleus hasta el momento es mi psj favorito junto con los gemelos Leech, es que- Me alegra saber que hay mas fans de Twisted Wonderlan que hablen español :)

I think that if Disney is involved in the game, an anime can't be good enough, Disney always makes happy ending... I haven't watched the videos (people playing the game) but I hope it has a good story or something like that. And of course, I wish twisted wonderland could become an anime...
