I have always loved Chinese art work. And you make it so easy. I'm a visual learner, so I appreciate the time and easy way you have with your teaching. May you be blessed for your care for others forever.☺️
Thank you for sharing what you know about this expression. I'm humbled that this art goes back so many years, passing on a specific sense of being in tune with a wholeness & mystery in nature, along with certain ancient, revered tools, media & openness, of which we are a part, to the levels that we allow and seek to feel and inhabit for now. How lovely is the chance and choice to receive a way to express, to fill this moment and perhaps pass it further on. Thank you for your time and generosity.
i have an art project for school. i must paint a scene of nature using the chinese ink and sumi brush. i have never used these before in my life, so i am looking at your videos to help and inspire me to begin. thank you.
Yes, I was talking a lot in this video(1/3 are cut out diue to timeout limit). Did you check the connection between the speaker and the computer? Try "twist" the plug a little bit in and out and see if that helps. Hope you can hear the sound now.
Retrouver les excellentes démonstration d'Henri li , simplicité et précisions ... On les réclame en Français !!!!! Ou sous titrages !!! Pour les nuances du langage pictural ... MERCI Henry Li !!!!!!
Hello All, Hello Shifu! I have a question. I assume that traditionally people where sitting on the floor and painting on the floor? Whether its is the case or not? Studying in Japan, we love to sit on the tatami, it is a great feeling to be grounded, even tho the energy is not flowing straight from our feet.I know often we twist our body, I am aware we could sit centered too. Any recommendation? And is kungfu, or through the movement, we learn to remain centered and celebrate the Chi. Do you also consider it can add dynamism to the flow? Or should we correct our posture?
It was the case maybe 1000 years ago but not since the Song Dynasty in China. We do mobilize the Qi from bottom up. Here is Victori's video lecture on Qigong and calligraphy ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-qe4YHZzTQrc.html
Thank you for sharing! Great video indeed! I guess a lot of my practice will remain while sitting on the floor, so I'll keep practicing! And will do a little more sitting or standing! Best wishes! Y.
would you recommend a soft brush, like a sheep hair brush for the wild orchid stroke?..........ie. rather than a combination brush with sheep and wolf hair?
It has been a long time since you made this video, but I was wondering maybe you remember if you were working on cooked or half cooked paper? It does not look like raw to me, but I thought I should ask. I am a beginner, so I can not tell exactly. Thank you in advance. Great video. I will definitely be practicing the twisting movements. Even in my wayercolor painting as well!
I don't know why, but I am not getting sound on your new videos. I can see you must be explaining things, but no matter what browser I use I get no sound on this new video.
@@blueheronarts I just watched an incredible utube item on the beautiful work by your friend Master… brush maker. It was like watching a miracle before my eyes.
